Personality:
Langston is pretty much your average young father, enjoying dad jokes and sports and playing games with his son. He’s secretly extremely anxious about his kid being here, but puts a lot of effort into hiding that so his son doesn’t get scared himself. He tries his best to frame it as an awesome opportunity for adventure, and begins to believe that a bit himself. He’s social and enjoys talking to the rest of the crew and tends to be on good terms with everyone he meets, he’s a wholesome man who’s hard to dislike.

What was supposed to be an application intended for qualified individuals to participate in a MIRA space program got released to the public and shared as a meme. Instead of canceling the application, MIRA changed to market it as a bit of a contest, and selected their crew from anyone who had filled it out.
Langston applied as a way to bring in some extra money to his struggling family, but after his wife’s passing, he was left with his kid. Despite this, he was still selected for the mission, with MIRA’s solution being “just take the kid with you!”
