About
Jessper is a force to be reckoned with. Her bark is just as bad as her bite and she won't go down without a fight! (woah that rhymed!). Jess may be sweet to her patients and friends but if anyone ever harmed them, she won't hesitate to break those people's bones in the most painful way she knows.
Jessper, previously known as Veth Chitares, was born into a family of assassins on Alderaan. The guild also took shelter on said planet and from a young age, Jessper knew her way around any weapon and any form of killing.
Not long after the war started, her home was destroyed by Republic troops, killing both her parents and the entire guild in the process. Jessper had watched her home go up in smoke from afar, growing a seething hatred towards the Republic, as well as clones. She vowed to destroy every clone she came across as well as take down the Republic. So, she joined the side of the Separatists and worked alongside many bounty hunters to try and take down the Chancellor of the Republic. Some bounty hunters she worked with included Cad Bane, Aura Sing and even the famous Flying Fish, Cann Ajool, who became her life long friend during her assassin years.
Half way through the Clone Wars, Jessper had happened upon a secret plan within the Separatist's grasp. A weapon that could destroy planets with a single push of a button. And amongst that plan, she had found a record of Count Dooku ordering the clones on her family home. He'd manage to get into the Republic's system to order the attack, claiming that her family/guild were Separatist assassins that needed to be eliminated at all costs. Jessper's world had fallen around her in that moment. In a blind rage, she turned on Dooku and planned to kill him, steal the weapon plan and turn it in for the Republic. She had been working on the wrong side all along. And she needed to change that.
Yet, in her blind rage, she forgot about Dooku's Sith abilities. She escaped, but not without a huge sum of credits on her head. She didn't even manage to steal the weapon plans much to her disappointment. Now wanted by both the Republic and Separatists, she completely altered her identity. She rewrote her past, stole and pulled strings to obtain a few documents, altered her appearance and now, she was known as Jessper, a medic working for the Republic.
Not too long before Order 66 occurred, Jessper was given an opportunity to become a field medic for a specific group of clones and was to report to Kamino imedietely. She took the job and travelled to Kamino as fast as she could. Not too long after her arrival, the news of Order 66 had reached the planet and, in pure blindness, she believed the news of the Jedi being traitors.
And that is when she'd meet Clone Force 99, or more commonly known as the Bad Batch. And unbeknownst to both her and the clone force, they'd be receiving her as their own personal medic...
Trivia
- Blaster wound was from Crosshair's blaster when she was helping Wrecker during their escape from Kamino, which ends up being made worse by a rampaging Wrecker.
- Enjoys reading both Omega and Wrecker bedtime stories (poor babies always fall asleep before the best parts).
- Carries her medical equipment everywhere she goes, even if she might not need it. This is due to her fear of her friends getting hurt after seeing Wrecker get shot by Crosshair.
- Really likes listening to Tech rant about certain things. She might not understand, but she enjoys listening none the less.
- Jessper is not her real name. Her real name is Veth Chitares. She changed it when she begun altering her identity.
- The year 44 BBY, which is the year Jessper was born, was the year that Obi-wan became the Padawan to Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn (This took my so fucking long to calculate oh my god please acknowledge my work).
The two got off on the wrong foot, having different opinions on Jessper's presence on Kamino. Jess would soon be assigned as Clone Force 99's personal medic and would be ordered to follow them on a mission to clear out some remaining "separatist droids". Jess was also extremely hesitant to even go near the group when she was given the order due to Hunter's opinion on her.
The two did start seeing eye to eye when the group found out that the separatists droids they were sent to clear out ended up being Republic fighters. Both Hunter and Jess took the side of the Republic, choosing not to kill the group of innocent people (much to Crosshair's disappointment). Hunter soon changed his mind about Jessper, thinking the group would need her in the end (and maybe some romance ensues uwu).
The kid latched onto Jess really quickly when they first properly met when helping Echo during the mess hall fight. Omega was drawn to her powerful yet kind energy and Jess was drawn to the curious nature that Omega had. When the group all escaped from Kamino, Jess was there to help support Omega, cause the poor thing was still somewhat doubting her decision in leaving the planet she grew up on.
Jessper was soon turning into a mother figure for the little girl, always relying on Jess to have an answer to her curious questions or to be there when Omega needed a good hug (and Jessper gives good hugs).
Cann met Jessper during her assassin days. The two worked with each other a lot due to their different sets of skills. Cann would always be happy to help Jess get out of any situation she put herself in and Jess would always be happy to slit a few throats to keep Cann safe from trouble.
However, when Jessper erased any form of her past, Cann presumed Jessper to be dead. The last he heard of her was before she went to kill Dooku. Sadly, the two haven't talked or seen each other since. And that was a long time ago.
Echo- Despite being closest with Hunter and Omega, Echo is Jess's most frequent patient when it comes to team check-ups. Due to his cybernetic enhancements and machine components on his body, Jessper makes sure she checks up on him frequently just in case he's affected any of the enhancements and somewhat gives him some therapy during said check-ups. Echo loves being around Jessper due to how kind she is. He loves his brothers dearly, but Jessper is like a mother to him almost. And he loves her kindness and warm nature.
Tech- Jessper enjoys listening to Tech when he's itching to just ramble on about something he's just researched or his projects he's working on. She's also willing to help him in some of his projects if he needs it (but he most likely will refuse due to Jess sometimes blowing up some of his stuff). She can get a bit mother hen-like when he stays up too late working on said projects. The health of her patients is important to her. So, she's willing to knock him out if he refuses to go to bed.
Wrecker- oh lord the hugs. She gets so much hugs from this guy. She's also noticed that he has seemed to create a schedule for hugs. Good morning hugs, goodnight hugs, and after check-up hugs. She's surprised he hasn't broken her ribs with the force of them but, she enjoys it. And poor Wrecker gets a bit squeamish with check-ups, scared that Jessper will hurt him by accident. But she makes sure that he feels as comfortable as he can (which usually involves a hug, his Lula and a sneaky little bit of a ration bar) when getting looked over for any injuries. Big softy uwu.
Crosshair- Although Jessper didn't get to know the clone very well, the two didn't get off on the right foot. They barely spoke to each other until the mission on Onderon. The two fought over what to do with the "rebels" and well... the two didn't like each other.
Sadly though, both didn't get any time to heal that hate towards each other due to Crosshair being pulled away to get his chip fixed, causing him to convert all his loyalty to the Empire.
Later on, she does come to forgive him for all the times he's tried killing both her and the others. She even forgives him for shooting her. In her words, "It wasn't Crosshair who shot me. It was the Empire."
