pinnace is the sailing master of the sea's sweetheart, and learned all he knows from sneaking into lessons as a child. despite his high level of education, pinnace has very low amounts of wisdom and common sense, and is one of the first crew members to attempt any stupid stunt. highly superstitious.

he has a love-hate relationship with messina, and is cousins with ferry - although they are growing further apart the more they get older. fantastic at chess and checkers; although he is prone to mixing them up when drunk.
