About
Dorian and Boone have a very close relationship that they don't really like expressing around people. They usually keep their relationship secret from most people, and only really show affection when being alone. Most people don't even really know how they feel about each other, but most would assume that it's positive since they're always together and Dorian works with the NCR. Though they wouldn't deny their relationship if anyone were to ask them.
When alone Dorian is extremely and annoyingly affectionate, Boone kinda "puts up" with it, pretending like he doesn't like it when in secret he kinda enjoys the affection (They're basically this image). Dorian tends to talk a lot, and Boone is willing and happy to listen. Dorian doesn't mind Boone's silence because he knows that he's still listening, even if he has nothing to say.
They both have a fairly mutual understanding of each other and each others behaviors, and they've both learned how to communicate effectively with each other.
History
Event One
When Dorian and Boone first started traveling together, they didn't get along super well. Most of the time they were pretty silent with each other, and sometimes arguing, due to Boone thinking Dorian was naive and positive. (Though some of that anger might have come from the fact that Dorian reminded Boone of his old wife, since Boone described her as naive and "acted like there wasn't a war")
Event Two
Dorian and Boone started to get along once Dorian started to open up more. He started to catch on that Boone didn't really like him, and more put up with him, and so Dorian opened up and talked about why he acts the way he does. He clarifies that Boone can leave whenever he wants and that he's going to take down Caesars Legion with or without him.
Soon after, Dorian started working for the NCR, and Boone started to open up too. They started to communicate and understand each other more.
Event Three
Dorian and Boone got together sometime after the "I Forgot to Remember to Forget" mission, where Boone fully opens up about what happened to his wife, and finally moves on from his grief over her.
