He/They

(NOTE: Thai's birth parents never abandoned him in this AU, so he never got his Signature Nickname and just goes by Ishaan)

Some idiotic (actually somewhat smart but they act like one) teen living in London. One day, Ishaan's parents enrolled him in a very fancy smart people high school, and when he was touring it for the first time, he ran into a spider, which bit him as he tried to squash it. Soon afterwards, Ishaan got powers... however they never really connected the two events with each other and thought the powers appearing was a random coincidence- they still firmly believe they have random lizard powers that just appeared to this day. After the bite, Ishaan used his powers for selfish gain- usually stealing little things and creating a little bit of havoc for fun. Unfortunately, one day they accidentally pissed off the wrong group of thugs...

In general, Ishaan doesn't exactly get along with his parents very much (because they have Expectations™ for him) and is pretty rebellious when it comes to them and their rules; and after ge got his powers, their arguments grew. One day, they had a particular nasty fight with their parents, which ended with Ishaan running out of the house. When he returned a few hours later, turns out those thugs he angered. Uh. Might have killed his parents and two younger siblings while he was away >>"

Ishaan was absolutely DEVASTSTED by this, of course, and ran to the nearest tall bridge. They blamed themself for what had happened and was about to jump off and end it all, when Crab Spider stopped them and took them to the Spider-Society. There, over the course of a year,  he trained and eventually became a member himself (though he's somewhat difficult to work with due to the fact he argues a lot and likes to stray from the plan).

Their design and abilities are inspired by the Royal Jumping Spider; they’re much faster than most spider people and can jump up to 50 times their body length.
