A timid, nerdy robot. He's awkward around humans and other monsters. He misses social cues most of the time and has a hard time telling if others are being serious or sarcastic.
Jokes/metaphors go right over his head. He gets really attached to things and people and can talk about those things constantly.
He has a terrible memory and might repeat himself if he forgets that he talked about the thing already. He gets excited easily. At the same time, he can say things without thinking, and sometimes that might hurt others. And he doesn't feel remorse right away without being told that his words hurt.
An android created with a purpose in mind, but as he was passed around from engineer to engineer, that purpose became muddy. His programme became so convoluted that Cal was eventually just tossed to the side.
His future father picked up the empty body and attempted to build a functioning son out of him. Still, his body is fine, but his personality is corrupted.
Cal's father was a lonely and socially awkward man; who had a hard time falling in love and talking to people. He has always wanted to have a family, but since he couldn't meet anyone, he decided to build his own son.
He built Cal as a teenager and spent the first months of his life trying to teach him how to blend in with the humans. It was hard for Cal, and he still got called out for acting awkward. Cal's father luckily found the high school, Monster High; and even if his son isn't a full monster, he isn't fully human either. It would be easier for Cal to blend in, and not be called out for his quirks.
Cal met Carman in the school's only science/robotics club. When Callahan thought he was being weird and awkward, Carman found him enduring and sweet.
- When he's embarrassed, he overheats and his fans whirl and he sounds like an overheated computer. Carman, who is cold-blooded, so she's cold often, loves it when he's warm, so she teases him often with compliments and dirty things, to make him warm up.
- Has a tail with a plug at the end of it. Acts the way an animal's tail works depending on his mood.
- Cal plugs himself in by his tail to charge. While he's plugged in, any phone that comes into contact with his skin is also charged.
