Amadis Latroe, in a nutshell, truthfully, at his very core, is... pretty much just like anyone else, really. And he hates that fact with every fiber of his being. Despises it. Loathes it. Wishes it wasn't true, yadda yadda yadda. He thinks you can get the point.
Meet Mr. Average, the one who's just sort of okay at everything, the goldblood who's only redeeming factor is being a feral, etc etc etc ad nauseum. At least, that's how Amadis sees himself. In reality Amadis is absolutely buzzing with potential. He's attractive, he's charismatic, he can be anything he sets his mind to... if he can manage to stick with it for longer than five minutes. Amadis' most fatal flaw is that he never sees things through, and decides after only about 10 minutes that he's awful at whatever new thing he's picked up and he's going to try something new. This has led to a life of floating from thing to thing, never really finding out that he's good at anything other than using his psi. Oh well, at least he has some friends to help him through the trip.
Character
Amadis is sort of exactly the person you'd expect to see on Alternia. Though he is kind and caring towards his friends, he does recognize that he's on a murder planet and as such practices caution when dealing with anyone outside of his circle of friends. That being said, he often acts before he thinks, which means that about 9 times out of ten, the caution he excercises is thrown out the window within the first ten minutes of meeting someone. Usually it works out fine, as Amadis is very charismatic and hardy and approaches most things with a smile, leading to plenty of fast friendships being formed, but there have been times where he's gotten into a scrape and needed to bolt out of the situation.
One of the first words that people will use to describe Amadis is 'reckless'. By all accounts, Amadis is an adrenaline junkie, chasing after any and every opportunity to throw himself into danger and make it out alive. While he hasn't died yet, he hasn't seemed to realize yet that death is a very real possibility. Instead, he shrugs off whatever danger he just got into with a 'see? i mmade it out fine'. Other than his recklessness, Amadis is a survivalist and a problem solver, and he can look at a situation and analyze it pretty fast to ensure that he and his crew doesn't die from one wrong step (or a few wrong steps, as the case may be). While he's not much of a leader, he does seem to always make himself the glue that holds people together with his wicked smile and sparkles that follow him everywhere.
ABILITIES
PSIONICS: Being a goldblood, Amadis has psionics that allow him to perform telekenesis, float, and use as a weapon if he so chooses. Amadis' best skill is being able to use his Psionics, so they're pretty powerful.
FERALNESS: Amadis is a Feral, meaning that he's got a tail and some marks on his face. It also means that he has enhanced strength, balance, and reflexes, as well as increased durability. It doesn't make him unkillable, but it does help.
Notes
- His Psionics create sparkles/shimmers instead of electricity like normal goldbloods!
- Almost never seen without feathers somewhere in his hair or by his ear.
- Yes, he can move the tail. It helps with his balance during his 'sick skateboard tircks'.
- Loves all things shiny and sparkly. Seriously, this man is like a 5-year-old.
- Plays the piano and isn't bad at it! Has a good voice too. Surprisingly musical.
Relationships
Stayix Monvok [ Friend ]
Goldblood friend who encourages Amadis to not give up so easily and is generally cool to be around. Amadis thinks she's a little intimidating, mostly because he can barely read her on a good day, but also incredibly inspiring, smart, and pretty funny.
Xerrax Eenriz [ Friend ]
Goldblood friend who likes to make fun of and bully Amadis in a sort of 'git gud' kind of way. Amadis doesn't mind it though, because it pushes him to stick with things just to spite Xerrax (which is of course, her ultimate goal) and they get along pretty swimmingly.
