The one and the only "kitten cat," Chaku, a faithful companion to Sal of many (100+) years!
He is quite a peculiar feline. It is theorized that his body has been radiated by enough Etherealism to give him some unique qualities (and thankfully, they all seem to be more on the positive side!) His age is a 2-3 month cycle, going back and forth between two and three months old while occasionally exhibiting body temperatures that excel far beyond fever grade and would prove lethal to most regular cats.

Over the years, he more or less has become a slightly radioactive mutant kitten, but hey, he's still pretty darn cute!

Brief History

A part of Sal's life had been shared with the residents of her hometown's lighthouse, who just so happened to have (or coexist with) a cat. A cat who would one day bear a litter of kittens.
During a visit one day, the feline couldn't be found, nor her offspring. It wasn't until she could hear the kittens in distress some ways away that it became clear something was amiss. They were crying. Following the sound, she spotted a large dog with one of the kittens in its mouth. Purely out of instinct, she barreled over and lashed out at the dog. Her Ethereal powers kicked in, wounding the dog and sending it off. The fate of the mother cat and her other kittens was left to the unknown, but... sadly, the kitten the dog had snatched up couldn't be saved. She was too late.

Mourning the situation and utterly overwhelmed by her emotions, she could do nothing more than gather her things and leave defeatedly. However, unlikely as it was, as she made her way back home, it was then that she spotted it... or spotted him, rather! Rustling around in the bushes that framed her path, there, she found the one and only gray little furrball that seemed to remain. And the one that would eventually earn the name "Chaku," which, fittingly, translates to "Chance" from Nyala.

From that day forward, Chaku would live the relatively unremarkable life of most any feline companion... at least, until both his and Sal's lives would both take a more cosmically adventurous turn!

Due to sharing close company with Sal since day one (and especially on day one) it could be almost certain that Chaku's strange mutant qualities are a result of her Ethereal radiation. Even if it was not her intention!
However, as seems to be the fortuitous nature of this small feline, to be able to share as many years as she has - and, hopefully, many more years to come - has been nothing short of splendid for Sal. What are the chances? She couldn't have asked for a better emotional support animal that she never even asked for, after all.

Trivia

    ▫  Being that Chaku's age is a 2-3 month cycle, he does actually take on notable differences in physique with every passing month. For him to sometimes look older and younger is not a matter of the eyes playing tricks, but an actual observation of the mutant, Ethereal qualities that Chaku exhibits!
