As a princess, Ashley was taught many things on how to be a proper royal. She is caring, respectful, and calm, is intelligent and talented, and does what she is told to do. All things a princess should be. However, that life had its downsides. She was rarely able to express her true emotions nor go where she wanted to go. Because of the strict rules put onto her by her aunt, she developed a rebellious side leading her to sneak out of the castle once in a while to explore.
While she has confidence in her abilities, she doesn’t like the idea of being a leader. Her friends and her people all look up to her especially because she is the keeper of the Phoenix Dragon’s power, but she doesn’t feel like she has the experience to be a leader. Despite often feeling overwhelmed by the expectations, she plays the part because she doesn’t want to disappoint anyone.
On the inside, Ashley has a curious soul. She's always been fascinated with other places and worlds and often reads history books to pass the time. The peak of her curiosity lies with Earth, however. She had always had a strange and intense urge to visit it, but her aunt, Queen Marianna, never allowed her to go.

Ashley was originally born on Earth with her parents Vannah and Evan and sisters Danicka, Dahlia, and Julianna. Sadly not long after she was born, her parents were attacked in their home by a follower of Draxxia. She and her sisters were sent through a portal to [world name] by their mother before she was killed.
After that day, the sisters were raised by their aunt, Queen Marianna. To protect them, the queen made them stay within the walls of the castle. They were rarely let outside, and were never allowed to go off-world. They were also required to have their bodyguards by them at all times.
For a while, the only friend Ashley had was Rosaline, who is the daughter of the Guardian of Earth. Later, she met Constance through her.
It took years of begging, but by the time Ashley was old enough she was finally able to convince her aunt to let her go to Alfea to study magic since it was known as the best school for fairies and was an amazing opportunity to learn about other realms. The queen agreed on the terms that she had to take Rosaline and Constance with her and she was only allowed to leave Magix if it was for a school trip. She agreed and was very excited to start her new adventure. Her roommates were Constance, Rosaline, Miriel, and Emory and they met Tharen, Dimitri, and Ian at the start-of-the-year celebration.
Soon after she settled into Alfea, Ashley started fiddling with her pendant and discovered that it could open a portal. She was very startled at the find, but her curiosity got the best of her and she went through. The portal ended up leading to Earth. She knew she wasn't supposed to be there, but during her short stay she met Daniel. She kept the portal a secret from her friends until they learned the truth.

Ashley's style is functional, but elegant. She enjoys wearing clothes that are easy to move around in, usually opting for pants and stylish blouses. Most of the time, she only wears skirts or dresses for special occasions, since she's so tired of having to wear them as a princess.

Ashley and Daniel met when Ashley took an unexpected visit to Earth and saved him from a couple of guys who were harrassing him.
She admires Daniel's kind and sensitive nature. It took her a long time to figure out and admit that she was in love with him. When they got together, they became a sweet and loving couple.
Having met at a royal council meeting as a child, Ashley and Rosaline hit it off very quickly. For a while, Rosaline was the only friend Ashley had until she was introduced to Constance. They enjoy talking together and bonding over the troubles of their social classes.
Ashley and Constance met through their mutual friend, Rosaline. She admires her genuine personality and encourages her to speak up and share her ideas.
Ashley and Miriel, both being princesses, had been briefly introduced to each other at royal council meetings but didn't get more acquainted until they became roommates at Alfea. They both have a high respect for each other and trust each other's strength and instincts.
Along with Miriel, Ashley met Emory after arriving at Alfea. She wasn't sure how to react to Emory's energetic personality at first, but she soon came to realize just how skilled she really is.
