Keys to Wave Carver[ Captain's Master Keys ]

Keys that grant acess to the Galleon called the Wave Cleaver. The keys are magically attuned to the ship and it's captain, making them impervious to being lost. They are able to unlock any door on the ship, when combined with a special magical item allways on the captain's person. (Otherwise one will need to match a key to the portion of the ship they're looking to acess.

OceanBreeze Any-Everywhere Compass[ Targeted Location ]

A more adept version of the Any-Everywhere Compass, designed to be used by ocean-travelers. It is part of an essential kit for way finding, including a sextant, lunarscope, and cartography map. The OceanBreeze Compass will magically cast an image of the coming weather onto the inner lid of the device, updating with every open.

Bits-n-Baubles[ Style & Decoration ]

Errol adorns himself in many little bits of golden rings in his mane, crude jewelry on his hocks, tail, and various necklaces on his neck. But he is never seen without the red bandanna that covers the place where his horn should be. Many beleive it covers a rather nasty scar.

Sailing & Crewmanship

Errol learned to sail ships and how to manage large vessels in his early life living in Casalle City. He has always had a knack with navigating and manning sails, and leadership came naturally to him. The art of being Ship Captain was one that was honed after many voyages, starting from lesser ranks and climbing the totem pole till he was able to afford his own ship and take up his own crew.

Lesser Magic Control

Due to the loss of his horn, Errol's use of magic is stunted. He can still manage easier spells like holding, lifting, and movement, but it took him a lot longer to master these than most unicorn colts.

About

Errol grew up in the Streets of Casalle City, a sailing hub and home to many of the Social Elite in Nexxia. Despite growing up an orphan, and being too proud to claim the boarding houses as a home, Errol had a good life in Casalle- all things considered. While the upper crusts turned up their noses, there were still many that were willing to offer the spry colt food and board, work and pay. Errol was taken care of, by either the kind hearts of the fishmongers and dock workers, or by his own ingenuity, and saw to it that the other's in his band of friends were too. It's unknown when he lost his horn, as almost noone remembers a time that he had it. And nobody bothers bringing up the circumstances of how he came to be without it. He simply was without and stilll managed to get by perfectly fine and noone begged to differ. Errol's first expedition out to see was on the fishing boats, and later he moved to helping in the cleaning crew for a vessel voyaging to the outer islands of Omarra. Soon, he was taken in by an adventuring party, and after many years in their service- he came into ownership of a ship of his own. His crew sailed the ship to and fro to the point it sank just off shore- but their commissioner took great admiration for Errol's determination to see his Quarry and Crew safely off the sinking ship and thus- The Wave Cleaver was granted to him. Of course- with the condition that the ship only return to Maldrein for repair's and to deal most of the discovered goods, which was no problem for the captain nor crew. Errol and the Wave Cleaver Crew fancy themselves as pirates, but are truthfully more facilitators and guards for explorers. They're able hooves and ready to work hauling freight, and excavating ruins of eons lost. They're close friends of the aquatic nation of Naedre and the Islands of Omarra. Errol himself is enigmatic, and doesn't talk much about himself, his crew does enough of that, but the few encounters with him one usually gets are all that are needed to tell you about who this stallion is.
