The Progenitor

Biography:

Being a reaper is a thrill for Alessia. She's been at it for over 100 years now, and it's probably one of the main sources of excitement in her eternal life. The other source of excitement is her wife, though. Nightingale, Death themself, somehow still bothers to keep Alessia around. It warms her heart to have them near her.

Alessia works as the second in command of the reapers, and that has made her a bit of a target in recent years. She gets threats sent to her desk and her house, traps are sent in attempts to kill her, and she is generally in danger at all times. She finds it fun, though. She's the only immortal around, so it's always fun to shock them with her regenerative abilities followed by a swift soul reaping.

One day, Alessia is up to her same tricks again. She tries the whole bait and switch routine with another trap that's set out for her. She lets herself get shot by the perpetrator, but she gets a weird reaction from them when she starts regenerating. Instead of the usual shock, she receives annoyance. She wasn't the first immortal that this person has met. Alessia, thinking she was the only immortal, is rightfully shocked at this revelation.

Alessia immediately tries to find the other immortals. Even when danger closes in, she won't stop until she finds one. This distresses her wife, but Alessia isn't sure why. She's immortal, so what's the big issue?

Immortality:

Immortality kind of treats Alessia's body like a broken stopwatch, as in it's stuck at a specific point. Ie. Alessia's outward and inward physical appearances at the moment of drinking Nightingale's blood become her "default", and after she gets injured or dies, she will always return to that point. So any scrapes or bruises Amber might have had before drinking Nightingale's blood will never fade, but she can't get new lasting injuries either.  The time taken to recover from a death/injury is directly proportional to how messy/extreme the injury or death is. If she's stabbed once, it might take less than a minute to heal right up, but if she's burned badly, it could take up to thirty minutes/an hour to heal up fully. A clean break in a bone would obviously heal faster than a more messy one, and so on and so forth.  One thing is certain, though. Alessia definitely isn't impervious to pain. She feels every injury she gets. Even so, she's had regenerative abilities for so long that she's learned to tune out the pain for the most part. Due to becoming immortal by drinking a god's blood, Alessia will only be able to die if Nightingale is somehow disposed of. This doesn't bother her one bit, as she claims it is better that way.

Draw With:

Nightingale (Reaper): Nightingale and Alessia have been married for decades now. They are always looking out for each other, and Alessia has no qualms putting her eternity in danger if it means protecting Nightingale. The opposite cannot be said, however. Nightingale, previously indifferent to the thought of their own end, fears it now. They don't want to be the reason Alessia dies, and thus, they are extremely cautious as a result. The two of them enjoy sparring together as well as attending Boston's science museum to see the lighting show together. They also enjoy watching actual storms together, huddling under umbrellas and watching the sky. Alessia keeps a garden of flowers, and Nightingale sometimes helps her maintain it.

Raven (Assassin): Raven adores Alessia more than he thought he would. He wasn't sure he would like that his sibling was able to find love again, but he ended up enjoying Alessia enough to call her his best friend. Alessia and Raven bond over a mutual enjoyment of bad horror movies, and they often spend time together during breaks at work. Alessia is currently in the midst of trying to teach Raven how to make coffee. She is astounded that a master of potions is unable to get a grasp on something as simple as a cup of coffee. Raven is teaching Alessia how to play the lyre. He hasn't been able to find anyone to teach in years, and Alessia is willing to learn.
