The Assassin

Biography:

Ever since Logan Stevens died, Raven has been an official member of the reaper coalition. Now, eight years later, he's risen to be one of the top members. No one is shocked by this development. Raven is a god of death, after all, and his twin sibling and other half is the head of the reapers, after all. Even so, Raven sees this as a huge achievement.

Despite his skills, Raven prefers to work on his own, usually only reaping souls when Nightingale asks him directly. This, of course, means that Raven is getting the most difficult jobs imaginable. One such job leads to him nearly getting himself killed, and that causes a stir amidst all reapers, Nightingale included. Who is able to have even a god running for his money?

Ever since that incident, Nightingale hasn't let Raven go off and do any jobs. The coalition is completely on reaping lockdown. Raven doesn't seem to mind much, using this opportunity to better hone his battle skills in sparring sessions as well as just get to know his coworkers better. Having less hours also means that he can spent more time birdwatching or riding on the Boston subway.

Raven is admittedly curious about this mystery afoot, but he's more than willing to let others handle it. He's just along for the ride.

God of Death:

Despite his soul being split in half long ago, Raven still holds power as the god of death. He can grow a black angelic wing on his left shoulder if he wishes to. He also heal quickly from any injury, so he is pointedly very difficult to kill. Finally, as a bringer of death, Raven is able to create and find immediate mastery in any potion or poison, finding it extremely easy to make even the most unlikely things work. This is useful, as he is not always guaranteed to have a weapon around.

Draw With:

Nightingale (Reaper): Raven is Nightingale's younger twin brother, and he's been living with them for a few decades by this point. Raven thinks that his sibling is far too focused on reapers and work, but he also gets it. They're Death, so reaping is such a huge part of their identity. Nightingale, on the other hand, is frustrated that Raven focuses on work so little. Despite this, they never argue about how the other wishes to live life. Instead, they look out for each other in their pursuits. Raven enjoys giving Nightingale flower crowns and pressed leaves on paper, and Nightingale displays each thing in their office. Nightingale gives their brother little plushies of things they think he'll find cute. The both of them spar together often, and Raven is always dragging Nightingale to a movie theater or park to hang out.

Alessia (Progenitor): Raven adores Alessia more than he thought he would. He wasn't sure he would like that his sibling was able to find love again, but he ended up enjoying Alessia enough to call her his best friend. Alessia and Raven bond over a mutual enjoyment of bad horror movies, and they often spend time together during breaks at work. Alessia is currently in the midst of trying to teach Raven how to make coffee. She is astounded that a master of potions is unable to get a grasp on something as simple as a cup of coffee. Raven is teaching Alessia how to play the lyre. He hasn't been able to find anyone to teach in years, and Alessia is willing to learn.
