Mika Flynn

Enthusiastic, friendly, and a little overbearing, Mika is a recent grad who majored in film/drama and literature. Mika’s enthusiasm can be contagious, he easily changes the mood of the room and makes friends wherever he goes. Currently, he is an aspiring actor waiting for his big break and filling his free time at his various part time jobs. Mika also volunteers at the community theater, helping with the development of the kids’ productions. Mika does his best to keep busy but doesn’t realize that it might be hindering his ability to move forward.

Born as Mikaela Flynn from a middle class home. He is the 3rd child out of 5 with an older sister and brother and a younger sister and brother. Teasing may be the primary form of communication within his family but any outsider can tell that they’re all well loved. He had a very average upbringing. His parents both worked but always made sure to be home for dinner. The shared meals he had with his parents and siblings are some of Mika’s most precious memories.

Mika discovered his love for acting in middle school when his class needed to put on a play for the school festival. He was a pretty popular kid and was picked for the lead role. Despite not really being into it at first, by the final curtain call Mika knew it was something he needed to pursue. From that point on, Mika read every classic play he could get his hands on and made his main form of entertainment watching films; plays; musicals; and even operas.

He was a bookworm but Mika was also quite active. He reasoned that actors had to have a lot of stamina to perform well, especially on stage. Mika was the ace of his high school soccer team and eventually became captain during his senior year. He no longer plays seriously but enjoys playing a game or two with his friends at the park on Sundays.

Mika attended a community college with a well known film and drama program. It was also close to home which allowed him to commute and not have to move into a dorm. He considered himself lucky. He entered college feeling like he knew what he wanted to do and pursued it without a second thought. His passion only seemed to grow as more classes became available. He was also quite popular around campus as his classmates and professors alike found themselves asking Mika for assistance or just to hang out. Looking back on it, Mika can confidently say that his college days were normal and filled with lots of fun (if you ignore the frequent all-nighters).
