This dragon-esque pillowing wound up blind somehow. Even though Pillowings don't actually need eyes to see, as their magic should allow them to view the world around them anyway, this one wound up missing out on that part of his magic. (Maybe it's from being overly ambitious and winding up with special traits when he was only supposed to be very rare? Not corrupt, just different allocation of magic)

As it is, he can't actually see the world around him and has to rely on his other senses. Much like a snake, he frequently flicks his tongue to taste the air around him. His hearing and sense of smell are also sensitive enough to sort through and help him navigate the world around him.

To help him out, his owner gives this pillowing string that has been scented with essential oils. (It's a bright gold color so that those around them can spot them easily, too)
He also wears a collar with a bell on it and a no-touching tag.
These accessories are completely optional, though.
