► History
A Skaafin with a love for meddling in the affairs of mortals, Calamity houses a larger part of Clavicus Vile's power than other faithful servants. The power granted to him allows him not only a form of free-reign in his actions but dominion over lesser Daedric servants. Calamity is a powerful Skaafin Daedra who enjoys taking mortals for granted by offering them deals to sow chaos on the mundus for both his own pleasure and the pleasure of his master. He can be known to take back his end of the bargain when he feels he has been fed the raw end to liven up the party, he doesn't often pay any fair reward to those he toys with. Calamity specialises in magic, a warlock with the ability to change his face, manipulate the decisions of others and influence their goals. Beyond this he is talented with flame magic and Daedric summoning.
During the 4th Era, Calamity's influence increased tenfold due to the lack of Vile's favoured servant, Barbas, at his side. Calamity took this opportunity to further himself in the eyes of his master, gaining a larger source of power and becoming far more favourable. Calamity has always hosted a disdain the Vile's favourite dog and has been known to increase the rift between the two of them, ensuring that Barbas is left to the wilds of Skyrim. However, Barbas' absence weakened Vile's personal influence over the Mundus - he could only contact the mortal plane near his own shrines or statues thus Calamity is seen as his primary agent. Calamity houses a distaste towards dogs especially because of this.
► Pesonality
Calamity can be both a rather erratic individual and entirely predictable. To fresh eyes he can seem a little too much in a short space of time, but he has obvious patterns in his behaviours and actions beyond this muddled exterior. Calamity lives for and thrives amongst chaos and mischief. His primary object is little more than to mess with mortals for his own amusement and for the pleasure of his master, Clavicus Vile. This can often put him in inconvenient situations if he gets too carried away or he can expend a little too much power at once, resulting in his need to withdraw from mortal affairs to recharge back in Vile's realm of Oblivion. He cares, of some kind, for his favoured servants and tries to ensure their safety in the midst of the mess they cause, pulling them back to his side to preserve them. Without them, Calamity would feel a sense of loneliness in his work and would have nobody to impress on a regular basis. There are times when he is able to snap into a sensible state of mind when things go wrong, but it is more likely that when he is being played for a fool that he can erupt in an unfathomable temper, breeding hasty actions that result in expenditure and loss. This temper is guaranteed to rise at the mention of Barbas, Vile's favoured dog, due to Calamity's hatred for him. Comparing the two of them isn't a particularly wise idea.

Numenandilaron
[ Pawn ] Numen is Calamity's favourite mortal, often expending more power than necessary to fuel his exploits. He finds Numen's goals rather ambitious, and thinks that his climb to power and dismantling of the Dominion will sow the perfect chaos. He puts all of his efforts into assisting Numen, even placing Cassyath and Vyn'cus into his hands.
Cassyath
[ Ally ] Cassyath, one of Calamity's 'wives', is one of his third-party allies that Calamity gained from tricking Mehrunes Dagon into handing him power. Calamity is rather protective of her and will keep an eye on her out in the field, he adores that she spreads chaos and shares elaborate plans.
Vyn'Cus
[ Ally ] Vyn'cus shares the same relationship as Cassyath with Calamity, but is a little more of a back-seater as it were. She doesn't share the same ability to forge ideas as Cassyath, but Calamity adores her no less. He protects her and keeps an eye on her as much as her sister.
Shadowmere
[ Interest ] Calamity is rather intrigued by Mera, having known her for centuries. In his past lives as lesser Skaafin he had often dealt with her masters, those who easily fell prey to Calamity's tricks and games and ended up dead as a result. He sees Mera as a long time friend, eventhough the feeling is certainly not mutual. Calamity seeks to impress and woo her, moreso to aggrivate her new love interest now too.
