Fuyuko is an MBTI ISTP.  She has an eclectic taste in music that centers on electronica but ranges out to Canadian folk, hip-hop, and Nordic throat singing, and always includes a love of the absurd and songs that tell a story.

She loves absurd and dark humor.

Fuyuko is not overly particular food wise, as long as the food is interesting and not overly bland.

She is a decidedly dominate, strongly top leaning, and monogamistic.

Fuyuko is the offspring of Yuki-onna and multiple mortal lovers.  She is an elemental chimera (water chimera), combining aspects of their multiple fathers: Cheetah, jackal, serval, and eastern dragon.

In her anthro form her cheetah elements are dominant, while in her feral form her eastern dragon element is dominant.  All her fathers' species elements influence her final form in both forms.   In addition to her natural fur and hair she sports a mane and tufts of living water.  

She strongly prefer cool to cold climates.

As a water elemental she posses strong water magic, being able to manipulate water with ease through it's states and move and shape even vast quantities of water at will.  Given that most life is substantially made of water her ability gives her skill a lethal potential, as well as a lifesaving potential.  She has never had to use her abilities on any sapients as a weapon, but has used in while living alone in Japan to hunt and protect herself.

Her ability to sense the water in living beings, and warm that water gently, has saved the life of an innumerable number of lost or injured hikers.

Fuyuko is technically mortal, but with an indefinite lifespan.

Their mother, lonely and feeling forgotten as people began to forget the spirits, left Japan to explore the world, leaving behind a considerable drought.  With her she brought the promise of snow and water.  Men longed to find her favor and bed.

Amidst her travels she ‘collected the waters’ of several men, the final as she returned home being an eastern dragon.

Snows returned in abundance as ’the waters’ within her merged and impregnated her.

It was the dragon that Fuyuko, her child, knew as father, taking his name as her raised her alone as his only child.

Fuyuko is strong, confident (some mistake this as arrogance), and at times brash personality.  She is exceedingly beautiful and at times mercurial. 

Fuyuko lived a pretty reclusive life for most of her life in northern Japan.  She amicably left her father's home when she was about 30, wanting to live quietly on her own off the land, and for the next 70 years that is what she did, mainly in the mountains of Akita, Iwate, Aomori, and Hokkaido prefectures

Near 1980 she started feeling her solitary existence, while comfortable and pleasant in many ways, was also limiting her.  She wanted her life to mean something, to... more than exist, even if she enjoyed her own company.

In 1980 she applied to work with the Hokkaido police, specifically for SAR operations.  She was accepted and excelled in her work through 1994.

In 1995 she took a vacation to visit the northeast of North America, and fell in love with the land.  After her return she made plans to immigrate and in late 1995 she moved to North Conway.

While planning her move she had gotten in contact with several SAR organizations across northern New England and in her conversations she met Safirith.  Safirith reiterated what she had already heard over an over by now, that with her skill and experience she would be immediately welcome to any volunteer organization, but that there were scant professional opportunities.  

Safirith suggested a position at the Mount Washington Observatory.  They were short a full time observer and while a smaller area of responsibility the Mount Washington State Park was responsible for some of the most challenging SAR operations in the area (and on her off weeks she could still participate in area SAR orgs if she desired, no one would refuse her).

The idea intrigued her and she looked into what weather observers did, and began studying the FMH-1 and other materials before applying.

When she did apply, with Safirith's recommendation, she passed her observer certification exam and was hired as B-shift's day observer.  She began her first shift began Wednesday, 08Nov95.

Fuyuko took very well to the small community centered on the staff of the observatory and state park, and enjoyed living quietly alone for the most part on her off week, at least until the summer of 2004.

On her shift starting 09Jun04 she met the second of the season's new summer interns, this one being an unusually quick hire as the previous intern had backed out after their grades the previous semester required they retake a core statistics class they could not graduate without, and needed to take it over the summer.

The new intern, Akito, surprised her having only just moved to the area from Japan.  Over the next couple weeks the girl lost her off-week job, and though she was able to get a job with the Observatory's Weather Discovery Center in North Conway.  She could not commute from her place in Berlin, nor afford a place within walking distance.  

The two had gotten along well in their few shifts together already, and surprising even herself Fuyuko offered Akito the unused second bedroom in her place, and she accepted.

Both expected this to be a short term arrangement, but as the weeks continued they found they enjoyed each other's company... so much so that by the end of the year Fuyuko asked Akito if she would stay and live with her indefinitely.  Akito, witih tears of joy said yes.

Their relationship gradually deepened over the next three years.  Each were deeply in love with the other, but afraid to express the depth of their love and desire for fear of loosing the friendship they had if the other did not feel similarly.

Finally, New Years eve 2007 (31Dec07), Fuyuko broke, and after a few heavy beers apiece she, without a word and little to no forethought, grabbed Akito and kissed her.  Akito just stared at her for a moment after and without a word returned the kiss, long and passionately, stopping only as sobs of joy overtook her.

In great heaving sobs Akito confessed her love and desire for Fuyuko, who was soon in tears herself.  Soon after the two began what would be a long, long night of lovemaking and lying in each other's embrace.

The shift beginning the day after was an awkward adventure as they worked to find opportunities to be alone together and not disturb others.

They were content living as such, in part due to Akito's less than legal status, until the great fireball of 03Mar16 (and the adventure they had associated with that which is it's own story).  After that however they agreed to pursue full citizenship for Akito.

Akito gained full citizenship 08Oct2016, and on the 20th, as their off week began, they were married on the summit with their friends.

Sasaki Fuyuko (佐々木 冬子) [From Japanese 冬 (fuyu) meaning "winter" and 子 (ko) meaning "child"]

Father: Several including Sasaki Toshio (飛支生- Toshio - 飛 means "fly in the sky". 支 means "supporting". 生 means "living")

Mother: the Yuki-onna (雪女, "snow woman"), true name lost even to her.  For her travels she took the name: Rodan  (綺水, 綺 meaning "beautiful gorgeous". 水 means "water")
