Jera

Jera used to be a Plague ambassador for Nature during the centuries-long armistice between the flights, and after the First Seed was planted and the war between Plague and Nature was rekindled, he was forcibly removed from Nature territory. He wandered for a while, disguising his Plague nature by wearing a mask over his irregular green eyes, but after wandering into Amitola territory and befriending another Gaoler, Quartz, he slowly began to learn- and is still learning- that he doesn't need to hide here.

After what happened, he's ashamed of his native flight and sympathizes with Nature, with the Behemoth desperately trying to hide the Pox Consulate like he tried to hide his true self. The rest of Amitola, particularly his pal Quartz, is helping him to learn that what happened wasn't his fault- it was nuanced and not anyone's fault, really- and that he has nothing to be ashamed of. He's surrounded by friends who are willing to support him for who he truly is, and though he's still grappling with it all, the love is something he was missing for a long time.

Nowadays he works with Chloris tending the plant farm, though his Plague blood doesn't exactly lend itself to a natural green thumb...but he's learning!
