Grandma Honey

Backstory

Grandma Honey grew up wanting to help people, so she trained hard to become a healer and nurse at her local apothecary. Working as one for a few years, she lived on her own- until she found an abandoned child soaked in the rain. She had always had a motherly, doting air about her, and it was only solidified as she adopted little Mary and raised her. When her daughter had children of her own, she helped raise all six of them too. She is incredibly dedicated to her family and would do anything for them. She loves them more than life itself, and they love her just the same.

Through her affection for plants and gardening with her still-young daughter, Grandma Honey found a new passion that she knew in her heart she wanted to pursue. Not wasting any time, she became a beekeeper- eventally starting her own apiary. She is known as Grandma Honey for this, well loved and respected in her community and by all who are touched by her kind, warm heart.

Healing

Grandma Honey is moderately skilled in both healing magic and apothecaric medicine, carrying it forward from her youth. While not the highest expert in the field, she knows remarkably much about plants and their health properties and can nurse you back to health as good as a doctor (in most cases, she's willing to admit when something is more than she can handle!).

Mary [ Daughter ]

When Mary was 5, Grandma Honey found her and took her in, adopting her. The little one was homeless, cold and in the rain on Grandma Honey's walk home from her job as an apothecary nurse. Although she was young, she raised Mary well (with the help of her community- it takes a village, after all), learning more and more as the years went by. She loves her daughter more than anything in the world. They'd do anything for each other, as thick as thieves.

Grant [ Grandson ]

Her daughter being a single mother, Grandma Honey swooped in to help raise Grant and his 5 siblings. They're very close. To her family (and anyone who meets her), Grandma Honey is a warm, enveloping, grounding presence, and she loves her family to death. She always seems to know what to do and what to say, and Grant learned to be strong and level-headed in the face of adversity from her. Like the rest of their large little family, they're very close and love each other very much.
