Xavier is a young man of about 16. He is a high school student, attending the same school as his friend/crush/classmate Rowan Scott. He is a deeply shy and socially awkward boy, hardly speaking to others in his class. Instead, he spends most of his time writing poetry in his notebook instead of listening to his teacher. He has found somewhat of a mentor figure in his English teacher's aide, Anne. What he doesn't know is that Anne needs his help to save her original home from her evil sister Avarice, and that soon Anne will grant him cool protagonist powers. (I'm still deciding on this part, ok?)
Around his friends, Xavier is more comfortable showing his personality, which can tend to be snarky, sarcastic, and stubborn. He tends to shield himself with layers of irony, but has the ability to be genuine with those he trusts. He is often a target of Lorelei's teasing, and while they initially dislike each other, they eventually open up to each other and earn each other's respect. Though he would never admit it anywhere but his poetry, Xavier deeply desires love and to be emotionally intimate with his friends.

Despite Rowan's proximity to the scary jocks, his unconditional kindness and respect for Xavier has caused Xavier to fall head over heels for him. Plus, he never makes fun of his poetry..! Alas, Xavier has no idea that Rowan likes him back, so mutual pining ensues...
Mentor
Anne
Anne is probably Xavier's only other friend at school, despite her being a teacher. She gives Xavier advice on his life and encourages his writing... and also grants him powers while tasking him to help save a whole other world. Whoops.
Friend...?
Lorelei
Xavier is often subject to Lorelei's teasing and random sparring matches. Once he learns to defend himself, Lorelei opens up to him about her mother and troubled mind. Though it will take him some time to forgive her, they have some begruding respect going now.
