He sighed, propping the window open. The moon shone on him from the side of the house, partially cut off by the wall. In hindsight, he would admit it was true he was a brat. He never lived a life of misfortune and though he didn't have everything because he didn't need it, he was still unhappy among the petty arguments and tantrums - he should have been better. He knew that now. He had nothing anymore, but it was just out of reach. He glanced back at the bedroom he was forced to call home. Perhaps it was too cruel of him to be so against an adoption by two lovely women but really, truly, he did not think his family dead. Wherever they might have been, they were not dead. This was no video game and he didn't have the skills to do much but he would try, that was all he could do. He had to find them, or in the least find out what happened. He jumped down from the window sill, backpack on his bag. He landed on the soft grass and sprinted, leaving the terrifying yet potential safety and certainty he could have had behind, with only the reflected light of the sun as his companion.
History
Yoko's life was never truly miserable until he lost his parents about a year ago. The blow was devastating, leaving four children orphaned. Given Yokuma, his eldest sibling, was an adult at the time, he takes care of them now. His parents weren't fond of him playing so many video games but he did decently in school, even went to cram school. Yokuma doesn't like him playing so much either. They argue often. He and his parents used to argue a lot too.
And now...
He has no idea what happened to them but he knows they're not dead. They can't be. He wants to appreciate Vienne and Stephanie, he wants to accept them but it feels wrong. Even months after, he knows his siblins aren't dead. Since no one will tell him how they disappeared, he's going to find out himself. Somehow.
Personality
Yoko is headstrong, very stubborn. He tends to come off as arrogant but he doesn't have a lot of confidence in his skills. He's not shy and he does talk quite a bit with his friends but he just prefers time alone. It's easy for him to get lost in games and in his own imagination.

Vienne and Stephanie
They're his adoptive mothers. He doesn't hate them, feels no prejudice against them. He just can't accept that his siblings are gone. No matter how much he wants to appreciate them and be grateful.
Yuko
His twin sister - he's older by a few minutes. They argued a lot but they always told each other everything. He misses her the most.
Akuma and Yokuma
Akuma and Yokuma are his older siblings. Akuma is seventeen, nearly going an adult, almost in college. Yokuma is twenty, in college. They both work whatever jobs they can; they've been doing their best to take care of their little siblings since their parents died.
