Joining Team Rocket was not Corrin's best decision in life. He had originally done it so he could support his sister and make sure she was growing up safe and happy. However he soon discovered Team Rocket did a lot of unsavory things. Unfortunately being there so long and eventually too deep made it impossible to get away. When he did eventually get away he was aware that he was going to be wanted for life if he was ever found, so he constantly hides, hoping to never run into Team Rocket or the clan of Jarvi.

Corrin had joined Team Rocket when he was still a teenager, mostly looking for a way to gain money to help support raising his younger sister who was a baby at the time. He had joined thinking it would be a simple job, but learned not long after joining that the Team did a lot more than he had intially signed up for. It wasn't long until he moved from Grunt to a more specific job.
This was due to making friends with one of the scientist's daughter. He was soon instructed to watch over and keep care of her as she went through her own Pokemon journey. It would keep her out of the dirty business her father was doing at the time, and Corrin was fine with staying out of it himself. However an incident that caused Bridget to get heavily injured happened, and before Corrin knew it he had a new job.
It was thanks to coming across someone from the Jarvi family, who are known to be blessed with abilities beyond humans'. Learning their existance, the scientist instructed both Corrin and Bridget to find more of them so they could see if it was possible to transfer the abilities to other people to make powerful soldiers or make their Pokemon even stronger. It was during this Corrin soon realized how much he didn't want to be part of Team Rocket's practices and when he could, he disappeared.
Nowadays he tries his best to stay out of sight so that Team Rocket never finds him, especially not Bridget who he almost died to a couple of times when she did find him.
