MALT comes from the four main characters occupying this universe: Marlowe, Ari, Levi, and Teru.
Of the four, the only active character is Marlowe, but I still love them all uvu
The story takes place in a wealthy district in London (bc they're all very rich aha), think super posh like Knightsbridge. The plot is kinda sad with strong friendships and family business drama uhh not much else lol
Quick Character Summary!
+ Marlowe | a fallen elite, so actually not rich at all. Works 2-3 minimum wage jobs and is trying to complete his highschool education since he disappeared for a few months around 14 and kinda didn't return to school until a year or two later. Lives with Levi's family in their multi-million apartment, does his best to stay out of their way and take care of himself separately
+ Levi | close friend to Marlowe. a reluctant heir to a software company that seems to be expanding into the larger tech world. doesn't really care much for business, but isn't bad at it. likes to box and punch stuff
+ Teru | childhood friend of Marlowe's and heir to a rising tech company. Recently moved back to London after almost 10 years in Japan where he completed his education as a business major and was hired by his mother. his apartment is actually where Marlowe mainly lives ever since he returned
+ Ari | close friend to Marlowe, girlfriend to Levi, and a rival of sorts to Teru (their family businesses kinda clash). currently a university student who is preparing to take over the family business which is a conglomerate and really controls a lot of stuff and is very powerful. she's big smart and probably the only sane one lol
This universe also includes three other characters who i call the "bike gang": Akihito, Akiko, and Qing Yuan
Their story takes place in Japan. The first two are fraternal twins who are step-cousins to Teru. basically adorable children who made a gang with their bikes (actual bikes like regualar cycles). qing yuan is a transfer student from china and the two twins just compete a lot for her attention because they adore her and they're just all really good friends
