Atlas is the manifestation of the Taurus constellation and is named after the triple star that resides within it. Stubborn (or as Atlas likes to put it, persistent) and curious, he is the leader of the exploration division of Celestia. Specializing in celestial cartography and equipped with a curious mind, Atlas diligently fulfills his role and makes sure to do it well. When he is not out traversing the stars or tending to spirit afterlife affairs, Atlas can be found in the extensive Celestian Library or watching human life from the observatory.

04 — Trivia

Atlas has a collection of Earth compasses. He knows they’re useless in Celestia but he just likes how they look. Because he is not permitted to visit Earth, his subordinates will sometimes bring them back as a gift.

Atlas is fond of antique human made maps. He spends a lot of time in the Celestia Library reviewing records of hand drawn maps and looking for techniques to implement into his own maps.
05 — Relationships
Rival
At first, Atlas assumed Calypso was part of the Rebellion. He always seemed to want to throw a wrench in whatever mission Celestia pursued. After a handful of meetings and many mixed messages, Atlas now realizes that Calypso seems to stand alone from both sides. Now Atlas can’t be sure where Calypso’s true loyalty stands and doesn’t quite know what to think of him…
Friend
Atlas has always been a frequent visitor of the Celestian Library so of course, he noticed when there was suddenly a new worker. Having just gained a physical form himself only a couple hundred years before, Atlas understood that things might be confusing for Zeta so Atlas made an effort to befriend the other. They’ve become quite close and Atlas is fond of Zeta. Sometimes, he will humor Zeta and allow him to come with Atlas on very safe missions.
Boss
One of Atlas’s earliest memories is the day he met Nova. After obtaining a humanoid form, Nova gave Atlas a new purpose to pursue and a new name to carry. Atlas holds Nova in high regard and does not question his vision. Over the years however, Atlas has noticed Nova’s gradual shift in mood. Nova’s relaxed demeanor of recent has pushed Atlas to reach out and spend more time with Nova, if anything, to get to the bottom of this conundrum.
