Kimiko Amamiya is the youngest child of Ren and Anne Amamiya, younger sister to Akari and Tatsuo Amamiya. She's a first-year attending Shujin Academy and currently resides with her parents in Tokyo. She has a warm and bubbly personality, well known for her charm. She is a sweet girl, albeit with a mischievous streak.

Kimiko is often written off as a ditz. Part of this is derived from Kimiko's keen interest in fashion. However, Kimiko is very good at reading people. She has a sharp eye and can notice very subtle details. Kimiko tries to not let others' opinions get her down. Kimiko secretly aspires to go into law, due to her father instilling a great sense of justice within her as well as her own personal interest in crime shows and mystery novels. Due to people often underestimating her, however, Kimiko tends to keep her dream quiet. She feels that she can really only confide this dream in her childhood friend, Riku Niijima. She secretly has feelings for Riku but keeps mum about it due to her fear of ruining their friendship.

• Kimiko's name means "hope, truth, child".
• Even though she has her father's dark hair and gray eyes, Kimiko's hair texture is more like her mother's.
• Kimiko is called Kimi by her family. This is meant to parallel her mother Anne, by having an English-sounding nickname. Kimiko knows she's in trouble when one of her parents uses Kimiko.
• Growing up, Kimiko used to concoct all kinds of crazy ideas to drag Tatsuo out of bed, who is quite the heavy sleeper. Tatsuo's least favorite is Kimiko dumping ice cold water all over him.
• The fact that Kimiko is average height is a sore spot for her, since her parents and siblings are quite tall by Japanese standards.
