SETS 1 TO 9

A----

-second page-change it to make it more actiony, likely same with others that invold fighting.

-pages with mink and lila are ALL one panel. add some more or change them entirely.

-on that note, there are many one panel pages- so the same with them.

swap out the 'please be safe page' for the other design with more panels.

-add lila flipping over to the last blue page so that the next panel looks more natural.

C-----

- p1p3 (page 1 panel 3) the person dodges backwards then forwards, maybe have them duck/dodge forward to begin with for flow/clarity

- p1p14 maybe closeup on guy talking, have the shadow creatures take over the majority of the space/fade in instead of splitting the space equally? alternatively you could have a close up then a panel that shows the creature closing in behind them, with lila(?)/other character's backs to them.

- p2p5 go in for a closeup on lila and her fist to emphasis determination (sort of like consuming the panel with her thoughts, before on the next page going back down to reality), move other character off screen or into a smaller panel

- p2p12 cut out the second figure in the lower right, just have objects

- p2p14 have the figure on the right looking towards the right or forward (to represent tomorrow)

- big movements (like the run on p2p9) should flow with the turning of pages (leading the eye towards the next page/page flip not away from it)

- i3p1 maybe combine with the page right before (i2p16)? like half panels vertically to emphasis the change and avoid being repetitive.

- i4p8-9 to elaborate a little, the back to back frames with the lighting switch works well here because it's a time skip, but on the earlier one it's immediate so by showing it on the same page it helps the reader understand that it's a sudden change.

- i4p13 maybe closeup on expression (can still include bg)

- i4p16 flip big frame/move the mysterious figure and have the character looking towards the left aka where the pageflip/next page is

- i6p8 flip page (so they land in the same direction they fell in and towards the next page)

- i6p14 maybe cut the hmm panel or move it so it's clear what it's in reaction too.

- i7p9 lean the panel break a bit if it isn't already (symbolize power imbalance vs equally sharing it)

So there was a bit of advice from that book I linked to you. When drawing fight scenes. That's really the only thing I'm seeing that could use a little more love :3

Making the shots a bit more impactful - think of it like you're watching an action show. Rather than sitting in a chair watching the fight right in front of you. The first one I noticed was the missed punch on page 3. As it's just a draft now, you can definitely add more dynamics, speed lines, and definitely exaggerate the perspective on the punch. In scenes like that, it's better to exaggerate the movement rather than try to be correct on anatomy.

You could even include a page before where you show the opposing character winding up for something powerful, give them the center focus, and then have the next page where that powerful-looking punch is dodged. (Even if the character in question is supposed to be weaker than average, it adds a bit more flare! Cuz you can look strong while throwing a punch but still hit weakly lol)

To be fair, most people do, so it's great you're trying! Best advice would be to look up how punches are drawn in manga and comics, look up references, check out what shots are interesting, can give you inspiration for the fight :3

Araki-sama has a bunch of tips regarding fight scenes alone xD and that's just a couple of things he covers in his book
