Margin is an octoling ex-soldier, created from one of Octavio's severed limbs. She initially takes great pride in this fact, and holds a strong hatred for inklings, especially Agent 3, however this does lessen somewhat over time. Margin has a strong amount of resolve, but holds equally strong grudges; this, coupled with the fact that she feels no obligation to be polite to anyone, often makes her rather miserable to be around.

For obvious reasons, Margin has a lot of trouble forming close bonds with anyone, or even trusting them to begin with. She tends to assume the worst in people, even if her assumptions may seem ridiculous to others. Margin is also very serious, and most jokes tend to go over her head.

Her hair is a lot more animated than most octolings', being almost completely prehensile when she is older, allowing her to use it as extra limbs. At around the age of 19 she also gains the ability to create neurotoxin venom, which she discovers accidentally. Whoops! She's also very proficient in mechanics and able to fix or build large and complex machines, but has a harder time understanding computers.

By the time of Splatoon 3, she is living in Splatsville, and ends up helping the New Agent 3, Russet, throughout the plot of Return of the Mammalians. Margin does not get on well with most of the New Squidbeak Splatoon, both because of their past experiences with her and her own refusal to co-operate, but she and Russet — who she refers to as Rusty, mostly due to misremembering their name — eventually become close friends, and have a queerplatonic relationship.

Margin is a high-level ink sports player, although her main weapon changes a few times over the years. Initially she uses the Kensa Splattershot, but changes to the Dynamo Roller after the events of At Sixes and Sevens, and switches again to the Splatana Stamper after moving to the Splatlands. For her agent work, she uses a modified Splatana Wiper instead.

This is a character based on the Splatoon series.
