Donovan is usually seen as calm and mature, but he's also a bit playful. From the start of his first year of university, Donovan was already great at diplomacy. He made great acquaintances, though he is careful of who he lets in his circle, since he doesn't like making enemies. Growing up, Donovan had a lot of freedom as a child as long as he did well in his studies, since his parents know how important it is for him to make friends. However, his life took a turn when his parents changed their teaching. Despite how cheery Donovan seems, he gets vulnerable when the topic of family is brought up.

Donovan lived a joyful childhood, making lots of friends and making his parents proud. And every time he was asked what he'd like to be in the future, he always said that he wanted to help people in need. He thought he was going to be a doctor, a fireman, or any social work. It made sense, since Donovan's family grew up poor. Donovan's parents are into politics and before Donovan knew it, his parents got into many political offices. Donovan was proud of his parents, but because of their profession, they couldn't give much love and attention Donovan needed. But Donovan was understanding. He knows how hard his parents are working, so he wanted to repay them by continuing to excell in his studies. However, Donovan's parents believed that Donovan needed a tutor to push him into the presidency path, since the basic subjects he's taught in school isn't enough for him according to them.

When Donovan met his tutor, he was polite as usual and listened to him. But having a tutor like him was hell for Donovan. His tutor was verbally abusive and no matter how well Donovan did in his studies, he was only brought down and was barely given any positive feedback. This affected Donovan terribly to the point where he doesn't believe anyone who says they love him or appreciate him. He believes people only say that about his work and not him as a person. Donovan felt worse when his parents were cold to him as well. His parents only trusted the tutor's words and because of how often this happens, Donovan doesn't fight back. Donovan never fights back when it comes to these situations, because he thinks no one will ever believe him. And when Donovan was accepted by Central Syland University, his parents said they're proud of him and they thought he was slacking off on them based on his tutor's words, which disappointed Donovan but it didn't surprise him.

As Donovan entered Central Syland University, his parents hired a bodyguard for him since there were paparazzis and such trying to get into the university. And after Donovan's first day in his university, his parents called him to ask what he did in his first day and if he made a good first impression. Donovan told them that he's already getting along with the professors and students, and his parents encouraged him for that since it's beneficial for his diplomacy. Even though his parents encouraged him, Donovan felt that his parents were only praising his work and not him as a person. When the conversation was ending, Donovan was about to say "I love you" to them, but his parents immediately cut off the call, which made Donovan's hurt sting. It's not that he wants them to spoil him, he just wants them to at least say "I love you". He knows how much they wanted him to succeed in this field, but there are times where Donovan is unsure of what he really wants. He doubts that he'll ever be truly happy with this path when he isn't even sure of it.

That is, until he met certain people that'll change his life...
