DELUNA
gloria, we lied, we can't go on.
About
Gloria Project Mk 01
WIP.
Created from a distasteful desire to mix the genetics of humans and animals, Deluna was test-tubed into being in 1991. He was an attempt by Shin-ra Labs to mingle Jenovas's genetics with that of a monster, the deluna panther. After three years of work, they were successful, and Deluna was born.
Deluna was an emotional child; where his eventual younger brother Cuda would turn out to be cold, unemotive, and largely unresponsive to stimulii, Deluna was a crybaby. He never quite outgrew that, but did grow to put on a tough facade by the time Cuda was introduced to him (at age 16.)
By mixing Jenova's cells with deluna panther DNA, Shin-ra's scientists had manufactured a shapeshifter. It took years to hone his abilities, but by the time he was 12, he could shift at will, and with ease.
After being introduced to Cuda, Deluna developed a desire to see the outside world. He attempted to escape with his youhnger brother, but was quickly cornered, dismembered, and captured, in that order. After losing both arms and one leg, Deluna was devastated, losing much of his personality.
Professor Az Hund, a scientist working on the Jenova Project Mk 02, was horrified by the sight of Deluna's dismemberment, and quickly made plans to free the two remnants; however, he only succeeded in sneaking Cuda out. Deluna would be left in the labs, alone, for the next few years.

Trivia
Does not magically regain his limbs when transformed, unfortunately. Once they're gone, they're gone.
He has advanced prosthetics that respond to his intentions. They are removed before he is returned to his cell.
Sees Cuda as his little brother. Doesn't know about the other remnants. Sometimes hears Mother's voice, thinks she sounds kind.
Sleeps in panther mode. It's slightly more comfortable.
Often puts his trust in the wrong people.
