Skittish and perpetually worried, Sawbones is frightened of pretty much everything around her. She has a talent for inventing imaginary scenarios in her head that keep her up at night, and thinking of different ways in which things could go suddenly, drastically wrong. This makes her cautious, perhaps overly so, and also a little exhausted most of the time.
Despite this, Sawbones spends her life on the road and getting into all sorts of mishaps. Although none of her misadventures have lessened the fear she feels, she rarely freezes up or lets herself be paralyzed by indecision. Rather, she is somehow able to handle and get herself out of even the most nerve-wracking of situations. In a crisis, even at times when most others would freeze up or flee, it is common to see Sawbones rush about, tidily finding a solution, stammering and talking to herself all the while. After all, Sawbones possesses a keen intelligence and practical attention to detail. Without it, she wouldn't be such a good medic.

Sawbones is a bit on the small side for her species and tends to look a little tired, even when she's gotten a good night's sleep. A bit fidgety, usually fiddling with some small object or her bandana, or twirling her fur/hair. She tends to look a little ragged, like the kind of person most would overlook or underestimate.

Backstory
Sawbones comes from a long line of travelers who wander the land, using their medical knowledge to heal whoever might be in need of it. Like her predecessors, she lives a nomadic lifestyle, treating and helping the people she comes across. Actually, "Sawbones" isn't even her real name. Rather, she is ninth in the succession of travelers who have taken on the mantle and title.
If you come across Sawbones on her wanderings, she'll happily help you with whatever injury or ailment that is troubling you. Perhaps she'll even invite you to travel with her for a while. No pressure, of course! But she'd appreciate the company (oh god she's so lonely).
