Theodore lives with his Uncle Bentley, a former pianist who resides in a falling-apart windmill on the edge of the city. He and his Uncle struggle to get by in the busy and capitalistic city, but with the help of Theodore's boyfriend and best friend, Johan and Layla, they manage to thrive. Theodore, having never graduated high school, never got the oppourtunity to go to a university, but by working as a tailor and moving between part-time jobs, manages to make a modest wage.
Despite his less-than-wonderful living conditions, Theodore manages to make the most of everything. His relentless enthusiasm follows him wherever he goes. Although he is very excited and cheerful, he doesn't have much of a filter, and often won't notice if he's being excessively loud or rambunctious. He will struggle to listen to anything he finds boring, which can escelate to him coming off as arrogant or moody.
Johan is Theodore's Boyfriend. Despite their differences, they will often go on long, almost unintelligible rants to one another about God knows what. It is speculated that Johan is the braincell-holder of the two, but recent studies claim that in fact, neither of these disasters hold even a grain of knowledge about pretty much anyhting.
Layla is the resident Angry Lesbian. She's the (pretty dreadful) third-wheel to Theodore and Johan. In all honestly, she spends less time worrying about her friends'... thing, and more time involved in bar fights and beating up drunk strangers over owed money and unpaid favours.
Bentley is Theodore's Uncle, who became his legal guardian after both of his parents went missing. Despite not always understanding his nephew, he does everything he can to be as supportive as possible. Theodore sees him as a parent and looks up to him.
