Eel

Eel is from an original universe I created of mutants and hybrid people, each with their own abilities and powers. Eel is classified as a mutant, with the ability to control people's minds and bodies, when they ingest his hair (usually by force). His mutation makes him emotionally and hormonally stunted, and taking over other people's minds is extremely overwhelming, verging on painful. He doesn't enjoy it, but sees it as an opportunity to help in the bigger fight against what are basically villains in this universe, so he trains with it. He also has higher metabolism, stamina, the ability to hold his breath for extended periods of time, and slightly accelerated healing. The mutation makes his "hair" appear as a celloid, a semi-liquid semi-solid, that grows at an incredible rate, and reflects like an oil slick. It also becomes drippier when he's emotional or stressed.

He is also on a team with Theo and Jean "The Mime", who share similar body-control abilities.

Despite being "emotionally stunted", Eel is a very understanding and caring person. He's gentle and a good listener, and knows his boundaries. He knows when to step into something, and still functions like anyone else, although some people question how. He's in a long-term relationship with Briar Rose, a student from his teen years, and they are often seen together, sometimes with Briar hanging off of him like a monkey.

Without spoiling too much, later down the line, Eel becomes a very important person in the late game story of this world, his abilities giving him an advantage he didn't know were so useful.
