Kyo is a very standoffish person who rarely lets people get close to him. He identifies as a lone wolf and prefers to be left alone.

He is the only child and was expected to make his parents proud, however, due to this strict upbringing he completely cut them off and strayed from the path set out for him.

Kyo is easily annoyed by the smallest things and doesn't wish to create strong connections with other people. He pushes people away and prefers to keep them at an arms lenght. He has strong trust issues and refuses to open his heart fully.

Kyo was born to two strict parents who expected the best from him. For many years he did as they expected him to, but eventually, the pressure became too much and he began drinking and smoking to cope. He began struggling academically, which only increased the pressure from his parents.

This lead to more partying and trying more substances, eventually leading to him forming a bond with an older woman in his mid teens. The woman manipulated his lack of knowledge on relationships and emotions, creating a very toxic and codependent relationship between the two.

Kicked out

Kyo's family eventually found out about the drugs and parties, which lead to them kicking him out. He tried to turn to the woman he'd been seeing for help, but she turned her back on him, having found a new plaything. For a while, Kyo lived on the streetsm but eventually managed to find a part time job, get an apartment and then pursue tattooing.

Valentin

Kyo met Valentin in high school, before he was kicked out. The boy joined him in smoking behind the school and the two would make idle talk occasionally. They met again once high school was over - Valentin working as a barista in a cafe next to the tattoo shop he worked in. Eventually, they started seeing each other.

They moved in together, but Kyo refused to commit to the relationship, often having one night stands with others. He introduced the increasingly unhappy Valentin to drugs and when high or drunk, it was one of the few times they seemed to have an understanding of each other. Kyo was very hot and cold with Val as he refused to allow the other into his heart. He had genuine feelings for Valentin, but having been hurt many times, he refused to let it show. It culminated in Joseph and Lucio intervening and making Valentin leave him. It crushed Kyo, as Val was the only person he really connected with since his teens and lead him to harden his heart even more.
