Joseph is the youngest child, having an older brother. He's always been expected to be as perfect as his brother, but due to his inability to do exceptionally well in academics, he funneled everything he got into becoming aethletically strong and skilled.

He's generally easygoing and fun, liking to hang out with his friends and play sports for fun to let loose. Despite being popular, he's pretty humble around strangers and only jokes about having a big ego with close friends.

Joseph is generally easygoing and has a good sense of humor. He tends to play up a more masculine and tough guy persona around people he doesn't know as well such as other boys on his team. Around his closest friends he reveals more of his softer, sensitive side.

Joseph was born as the youngest child of two, to fairly well off parents. His brother was very gifted academically and got accepted into prestigeous schools. That left the burden of high expectations upon Joseph. Since he failed to do as well as his brother in academics, he focused on sports.

In his early teens, he realized his attraction was towards boys, but hid it deep within himself, as his father was quite vocal about his homophobic views. In highschool, his eyes were opened to Valentin, who was a proud and openly gay guy. One thing lead to another, and he developed feelings for Val and they began a secretive relationship that he only let his best friend Lucio know about.

University

When high school was starting to end, Joseph abruptly broke up with Val, as he was convinced his future in education would highly depend on his reputation, and was afraid if it got out he was gay, it would damage his opportunities. He cut off all contact with Val, and with Lucio moving away for school, he was left all alone. He did manage to make friends eventually, and found a LGBTQ friendly community, finally feeling free to come out to his family after his older brother did so. His parents were surprisingly supportive, especially his mother.

Rekindling

Lucio contacted Joseph in a panicked state after years of barely talking. He told Joseph about Valentin's awful situation, and despite being a little afraid, Joseph rushed to Lucio's and Valentin's side.

Over a prolonged period of time, Joseph realized he still had feelings for Valentin, and discovered that he harbored some for Lucio, too. After many long discussions, the three entered a happy poly relationship.
