Artia Manderis

Artia did not yearn of adventure as a child. He did not gaze out into the sea, longing for the waves to take him far away, to lands yet unknown. Artia was content. Artia had a family, a stable job, and simple dreams.

But life does not care about your wants, and it does not care about your needs.

The fire that claimed Artia's home, his wife, his child, certainly did not. The fire that marred Artia was a force of nature, uncaring, unyielding, and entirely impersonal. This is a lesson Artia still is trying to convince himself of. A stone run smooth by the river of his mind as he travels. Travels far away, forced by fate into the adventure he never wanted.
