Lee was surrendered to an orphanage at a young age due to being cursed with werewolf genes, or at least that was what he was told. However, he was quickly adopted by a well renowned pirate named Celine. He grew up on the ocean, learning how to fish, tie knots, and care for everything on a ship. He became best friends with a boy named Whiskey, who was also adopted and helped him when he was in his werewolf state. Celine taught him everything she knew and made sure he felt as comfortable and loved as possible. When he came out Celine immediately made sure everyone referred to him how he wished.

After transitioning, he felt much more comfortable in his skin and became much more confident. Celine began training him to become a captain like her, and taught him how to go unnoticed by others in the city. After a few years of learning he begged Celine to let him spend a day in the city by himself and she agreed, giving him money to spend on whatever he wished, all as long as he took Whiskey with him just to be safe. They went out and explored the town, doing whatever they wished until the sun went down. However they overheard some government officials chatting about something suspiciously. They snuck after them, and saw them manipulating some magic and testing it on different creatures and prisoners. After watching them leave to another room, Lee grabbed the substances they were using and one of the spell instructions, and booked it back to the ship with Whiskey. They showed Celine and she immediately alerted all pirates in the area of the city’s doings, and with a few other captains confronted Angrunia’s council, but they refused to accept it as evidence, and instead put out a warrant for all pirates known and unknown, turning the story on them and sending out notices to neighboring sectors about the pirates. After the warning was sent out, no pirates could dock in any cities without immediately being arrested.

Shortly after Lee turned 20 he took the position of captain, making sure Celine could rest due to her injuries from fighting against Angrunia’s new policies. They found a new home with many other pirates in a large cave that was about an hour away from Angrunia. He assigned Whiskey as his first mate, and they started plotting to reveal the true nature of Angrunia’s government. They began breaking into government facilities and stealing evidence that proved Angrunia was using illegal magic to their advantage. Lee began memorizing every passage created in the city, along with those that pirates had made themselves to help escape. He swore to his mother that he would save any pirate who got captured by the Angrunia government, knowing they would do the same. Unfortunately, Celine was captured by Angrunia sailors and brought into the city, which is the reason he gets captured in the first place and ends up meeting Luna.

• Lee’s werewolf abilities didn’t come from unlucky genes, but instead was a result of being one of Angrunia’s experiments. He only learns this once Luna brings him into the records room and he sees his own file.
• Lee doesn't actually need an eyepatch, he just saw that Celine was wearing one and started pretending with a piece of cloth until she gave him his own eyepatch. To this day he still wears it and never leaves it anywhere.
• Whiskey is the first person Lee came out to on the ship, since he helped Lee with figuring out his identity.
• His broken blade is a sword he was gifted from Celine, however it broke after use for a long time, but he brought it to a blacksmith to be fixed and infused with magic and keeps it by his side at all times.
• The first time he met Luna he was planning on swiping one of her gems, however when he touched it he was immediately shocked.
