Michiyo Haninozuka

Michiyo is easiest described as an artistic, happy-go-lucky tomboy... Sometimes too happy for her own good. An adventurous soul, she approaches most challenges with enthusiasm and determination - often not thinking them through beforehand. That said, she often gets away with it with the support of her friends and brothers; she considers them all family, regardless of whether or not it's accurate, and their role in her life cannot be understated.

At the age of 12 she lost her mother, and her father - well intentioned as he may have been - didn't quite know what to do with the one daughter among his seven children. In a way, Michiyo ws steered into filling the role of a seventh brother, and for quite a while she did what she could to fit in the group. The guys are whom she credits for most of what she is and can do; from swordfighting and martial arts to compassion and people skills. Art, however, has always been her own thing, and is what defines her most as a person. She wouldn't go as far as to call it her tool for escapism - if there was ever a time she needed an escape, it is not now - but it's what never fails to relax her, be an outlet and make her happy. Oh and also tea. She's a tea addict.

She is no pushover, and if provoked, she'll fight fiercely; although her arguments may not always be most coherent. Admitting a mistake isn't her strong suit, and she'll rather power through an argument and apologize later than hold back her emotions. She is, in fact, pretty emotional. When she's happy, the hills are alive; but when she's angry, she'll watch the world burn. She's still rather balance, and won't swing between opposite moods five times a day - but it is the intensity that may get dangerous.

Overall, a friendly squirrel who can still slice you. With a sword. She owns two of those.
