The Creature
Sentry is a cryptic shapeshifter that often takes the form of an anthropomorphic "cat" as it is the most comfortable for him. He is not recognizable as any sort of animal species though, and the only reason he's dubbed a "cat" is because of his own bias for the species. If he were to be specified as an animal, most would point to a utahraptor, capybara, cat (specifically an oriental shorthair), hare/rabbit, wolf (maned wolf in particular), pine marten, and sometimes snake.
Sentry at first glance can come off as mischevious, mysterious, intimidating, & frightening really, but in truth he is shy, and doesn't understand what it's like to be human. He is somewhat socially incompetent, dense, blunt, and doesn't understand social queues all that well. He grew up very isolated in the woods, which is mostly what caused this confusion outside of not being from this world to begin with, at least not in the way normally thought.
Sentry tries his best to treat everyone he meets with utmost kindness, as well as trying to be as understanding of others as possible, attempting to make them feel welcome wherever, whenever, as he believes everyone deserves that. He is very determined to make others around him happy, & tries to be very selfless and not let his own ideals get in the way of anyone. In general, he tries to be very optimistic. When it comes to goals, he deeply believes patience is key, and if it's meant to be, it will happen exactly like it should. He always likes new friends, despite his social anxiety & the distance he takes from others at times, however he is extremely loyal deep down, and has never been seen to break that loyalty. He is very forgiving and doesn't like holding grudges on top of that, sometimes to his own detriment.

Design Notes
- He can have 2 or 4 cheek tufts, or none at all. Sometimes has spike tufts coming from the top of his spine as well.
- Any bodytype, he's a shapeshifter.
- Can have 2 or 4 eyes, 4 on his chest, or just dozens of eyes along his body, it doesn't really matter.
- Sharp or blunt/human teeth, or a mix of both.
- Colors don't particularly matter, but is usually cyan/teal, or cyan & magenta, or simply monochrome. Fur color can be monochrome, or deep/icy blue/turquoise.
- Most times, he doesn't have inner ears, and his ears are usually long. Sometimes his ears are short like a cat's though.
- His nose is more akin to a rabbit, or reptile nose, having two slits instead of a full solid booper.
- Parts of him are bioluminescent. For example, his eyes, and at times, his fur patterns. (If you were to pull up his fur also, it is bioluminescent underneath as well.)
- Sometimes his eyes can be a circular pure white with no pupils, and look as though they're glowing from a distance.
- His pupils are usually slits, or very human in pattern & shape.
- Snout is usually boxy in nature.
- Rarely ever soft, most times is sharp in fur & shape.
- Most times the fur on his head is slick back, however it can be forward at times.
- His tail is generally long, and sometimes twisted/broken. However it can be short to the point of looking like a rabbit's tail.
- Can have any body pattern, and/or be pure black at times.
- Can have no mouth.
- His facial/body structure can be extremely reminiscent of a cat. (Having the same energy of the cat from Coraline.)
- He likes to wear masks, most of which he's designed himself. He also paints his fur to match the masks. Some have their own names, like alternative personas.
- His identity is constantly fluxuating and he doesn't have a lot of core aspects that stay the same. TLDR; he can be whatever you want.

Creature Facts
- Some have noted/dubbed him as the "wild dog watching".
- His body can take the form of multiple substances, (examples of this would be sludge, flesh, being metaphysical (ghost), etc.) but most times it is simply fur.
- His fur feels like spiderweb/silk, and most touching it say it feels abnormal. No, in this state it is not sticky.
- He has difficulty with expression, causing his smiles or any facial expressions to look abnormal and freakish. Most times his face is relaxed.
- He likes to collect teeth, all kinds.
- Has a fascination with video games to an abnormal degree. Some have said to see him in them in ways that shouldn't be possible. A video game copy of any game given to you by Sentry is personalized.
- Has a fascination with all animals, and how their bodies & minds function. He has attempted to compare to himself, but finds it difficult. Do not ask him about this.
- Has weird regenerative abilities, and hates himself for it.
- Sometimes barks when happy, and meows when feeling quiet.
- "Mrrp, murr, miau, mow, mrow, meow, miaou, wff, rrf, grr,"....Makes lots of noises.
- Voice can be anything at any time. Tends to sound monotone, and sometimes robotic though.
- He is good at mimicking others in a multitude of ways.
- Has a tendency to flick his tongue when happy.
- With his friends, he tries to take on a guiding role, even though he doesn't like being dubbed as a leader. He enjoys attempting to care for others though and be a support system.
- Has a tendency to scare others on accident by "acting like a ghost" (being very quiet before making his presence known).
- Collects objects similar to trinkets a lot. (His crystal collection is notable.)
- He doesn't have a real sense of identity and is often confused by the subject. As a result his identity is ever changing and he doesn't have a lot of core aspects that stay the same. TLDR; he can be whatever you want.
- He feels closely connected to themes in horror & it's one of the few times he can conceptualize himself, somewhat.
- Because of his protective and guardian-like personality, he got the name Sentry from his friends.
Liked things:
- "Normal" about cheese.
- Adores music. Sometimes produces it himself. (Sometimes goes to raves also.)
- Meat.
- Favorable towards marsupials, rodents, bats, & cats.
- Bones.
- Stars, & space in general.
- Quiet.
- Darkness.
- Bioluminescent things.
- Water.
- The cold.
- Sleep.
- Consistency & organization.
- "Retro" stuff. (Arcades, old music, antiques, etc.)
- Spiritual things, anomalies, abnormalities.
Disliked things:
- He does not like being dubbed as small. (Unless by those considerably close to him.)
- He doesn't seem very fond of dogs, but makes a few exceptions.
- Noise.
- Omnipotence.
- Touch.
- Inconsistency, unpredictability.
- Uncommunicated, sudden abandonment.
- Impatience.
- Assuming & judgemental people.
