Hira woke up alone in a submerged quartz cavern. She had no memory of how she got there, or how she died. All she knew was that her family was gone, and she needed to find her sibling. Even through thousands of years of transforming into a Gem Waterbabe, she still has a small, intact photograph of herself with her sibling when they weren't undead. She's been through many rough battles on her journey to find her sibling. One battle caused her arm to break clean off, but she replaced it with larimar (hence the discoloration.)
