Profile
Rhihea comes across and cold and selfish when first interacted with. She will not speak to you in full sentences, instead offering short remarks or one-word responses. She dislikes small talk and crude humor, and will often avoid all who use such behaviors unless she is forced to communicate with them for information or assistance. She is quick to anger and will snap at those who irritate her. She will prefer her own wellbeing and happiness over those of strangers.
To anyone who is courageous enough to befriend her, Rhihea is one of the most loyal individuals she has ever met. She will do anything for those she loves, even expend her own life. She will spent all her energy chasing after her goals, and will even forget to eat or sleep. She sticks to what she believes; it is very hard to change her mind once she has made it up. The only ones who can change her point of view and reason with her are those who are very close.
Unfortunate events will bring out the worst in Rhihea, and she will snap at the worst of moments. Her life becomes a pity party, and she will mourn over ruined opportunities. She is a whiner and complainer when things don't go her way, as she is used to being able to recieve anything with her own two hands and effort. She does not like being told no and will fight for something she believes she deserves. Her entitled nature will pull her into horrible situations, but her perseverance and power will always pull her out.
Rhihea will be blind to others feelings and experieneces. Her empathy is low and she does not care to fix it. If others are suffering and she does not care for them, she will not try to help. She also does not know much about the human world, as it has been a while since she has been down there.
- Rhihea is in the 13th chair of the Pantheon of the Gods. Her left thigh in marked with the floating castle tattoo.
- Her familiar is a lion named Raja. He can turn into a golden tabby cat when she is surrounded by mortals. In combat, he can expand into a large flaming lion that is able to carry multiple mortals and Rhihea. Raja's fire will heal Rhihea's allies and harm her enemies..
- Her favorite weapon is the longbow, but she will also use a spear in close combat. Her outfit is riddled with hidden daggers.
- Rhihea's burns are from the fire she died in. They stick with her to remind her of her flame powers.
- Legends say Rhihea was born from the ashes of a Phoenix and learned to hunt from her familiar Raja, however these are not true. Rhihea was a normal mortal girl before she became a goddess after death.
- Rhihea's full title is Goddess of Dawn, Flame, and Regeneration. She is strongest when the sun rises, is impervious to flame, and can heal almost any injury. Her spirit can renew itself and become attached to an item after her physical body dies, something most gods are unable to do.
Rhi was born as a mortal girl in a village shared by Humans, Elves, and Half-Elves located deep in the woods. She learned to hunt from her mother, who taught her all the tricks she knows today. However, Rhi always had a fear of fire. She would stay far away from any fire in the woods, and would prefer to eat meat raw instead of lighting a fire to cook it. She spent many of her hours in the dark without torches to guide her. Her eyes became trained to see in the dark woods, and her hunting skills were better at night than they were in the day. She would be mocked for this fear, but she knew her survival instincts were to be trusted.
One day, Rhi was out hunting when she felt a forest fire start. She ran to warn her village, but the fire caught up to her and she ended up burning alive. She was only a teen when this happened, and the gods took pity on her. She was reborn as a Goddess with a half-burnt face and powers of fire, named Rhihea. She became the 13th chair of the Pantheon and the understudy of Durumis, Goddess of the Sea. Durumis taught her everything about being a Goddess. Rhihea ended up building a large following in woodland towns, becoming their protector against forest fires and the judge of their hunts. Rhihea dedicated herself to protecting her subjects, distracting herself from her own pity and wasted life.
Rhihea and Durumis ended up falling in love, and Rhihea continued to dedicate herself to her mentor-turned-lover, helping her with her own subjects and doing tasks for her. The two ended up becoming a myth of themselves, and many tell the stories of Durumis and Rhihea's love in dazzling and legendary ways. The two planned to adopt new gods together once they were necessary.
As Xladmir takes over the pantheon and corrupts the gods under his influence, a torrent rages near the Archipelago of Delear. Rhihea knows this is because of her lover Durumis, and uses dark magic to change her form into a human to travel to Delear Island and put a stop to her tantrum. On Delear Island she meets Luther Wing and Cadmus. Luther is friendly and kind while Cadmus is cruel and unusual. She decides to use the two to her advamtage, trusting Luther due to his agreeable nature and dedication to the people of Delear.
The three end up finding Durumis's underground ruins and summon her. Through this expedition, Rhihea finds herself inclined to Cadmus, as he treats her more with respect and apologizes for his earlier rudeness. Raja, Rhihea, and the travellers defeat Durumis, and Rhihea realizes that Durumis was only using her to gain power in the Pantheon and to get closer to Xladmir. Cadmus is also marked with the dark sword, causing rage in Rhihea, as everyone she has placed trust in is being corrupted by the dark god. Rhihea vows to stop Xladmir at all costs, enlisting her two new allies in her cause.
The defeat of Durumis brings down the Pantheon, and Rhihea rushes to the site of the crash to defeat Xladmir. At the pantheon, Cadmus becomes corrupted and Rhihea has to knock him out to save Luther's life. Luther and Rhihea read the riddle to opening the pantheon doors, and Rhihea confides in Luther about needing to die to open them. Luther promises for that to be the last step so that she can adventure and bond with Cadmus, who she feels she loves.
However, at the Pantheon Rhihea loses her physical form: killed by a Mephit's blast after Cadmus defeats it. Luther and Rhihea's magic preserves her spirit in Cadmus's wand, where she can speak to Luther using the language of the gods. Rhihea's power and life force is weakened as Cadmus uses her to kill instead of heal, however he does not care and believes she is fine. Luther promises Rhihea to travel to her village and find her a worthy sacrifice to get a physical form back.
Rhihea's body is now inside the pantheon, used as a trophy for Xladmir. As long as her body is inside the Pantheon, the doors cannot be opened.
