In the beginning, she and Asmodeus were indistinctable; one in the same, birds of a feather. Of course, even if one falling and the other rising the ranks in heaven, they are still close as can be. It is unknown whether the two decided to part ways for the better of the future, or if they decided on their own accord to live the lives they do now, but Uriel takes upon her title with pride.
For an angel of wisdom, it's no kidding that she can see the wrong in The Ether AND The Underworld, there are so many incorrect things that have been done. The least she can do is to step in as a mediator and to step back from the battlezone. Bloodshed and destrucion can only do so much and create even more animosity.
Uriel is so giving because she believes in second chancesm, that people should be allowed to make mistakes but they should own up to them.
