Introduction
Bedwyr, despite his desperate living situation, growing up in an impoverished area of Llinolin, always saw the fun in his life. As the youngest in a large family with siblings, he grew up surrounded by a familiar warmth and thus learned early on about the dignity of hard work and perseverance. Regardless of what he is and the slight prejudice that ensues following his appearance, Bedwyr has never shielded his colours, becoming a very accomplished athlete in the absence of academic studies. Earning opportunities in his teen years, he rose to moderate success within his community, becoming one of the most recognised figures in his hometown’s local Rugby Team, “Drakes of Dalsynni.” He met his current partner Heinrich Danilovich Orlov on the team, both attaining success in their team as flyhalf (Bedwyr’s position) and Heinrich’s as openside flanker. When war came to the S.R., he enlisted with the rest of his team to be together in the war effort. He now stands alongside the remaining platoon members for a call to action.

Lore
Bedwyr is highly strung, boastful, and strong-willed when he’s had a pint or two. Despite all his bravado, patriotism, sportsmanship, lust for life, and can-do attitude, he solemnly speaks unless spoken to or within the company he’s well acquainted with. His actions speak louder than words, and he is in trouble because he hardly explains his steps, often not consulting others’ ideals or best interests.
History
Bedwyr began life in poverty, and soon as he could walk and work, he earned a semblance of a living as a collier. The oldest of 4 siblings, Bed holds community and teamwork, as well as the importance of fun when allotted high regard.
Bedwyr still serves as a sergeant within his platoon. He is stationed on enemy grounds away from the S.R. Sergent is a rank after displaying great resolve under pressure and exemplary leadership. His first-ever role had him work with Troren Runestedt before his promotion to Commander, even before he was recognised as a field marshal. Troren, to this day, still credits Bedwyr’s teachings to a portion of his success as a Commander in the present.
To some disapproval amongst more traditional strategists, Bedwyr treats war as one big rugby match, applying tactics he understands on the pitch and applying them to the battlefield. This has landed Bedwyr some criticism, but his uncanny ability for flanking enemy positions and brute force tactics and the success they display is enough of a defence. This treatment of war as a game has landed Bed in many compromising positions where he almost lost his life. After such instal shock came disgruntled reactions from his platoon friends, he has matured but still masks the fright and anxieties war gives him. He is by no means with a clean record, but his stubbornness and trial-and-error ways are the guns he sticks to. After the birth of his first child, Llyr, he quickly adjusted his behaviour further.
Present
Bedwyr, alongside Abigail, Danjeet, and Quill, jumps from job to job as mercenaries awaiting their old Marshall to come back and give them new orders, the old platoon, seemingly forgotten by kin, country and time as veteran soldiers. Bed takes up the mantle as a squad leader with a fiery sense of duty and stubbornness. Loyal to his own and vowing to get everyone home again, Bed has never taken a day off since Iron Rain, a changed dragon than his more lax past self.
Only time will tell if fate has use for soldiers swindled by a nation's lies.

Partners since their teens, unwed. Teammates, partners in crime and the peak meaning of the phrase, "oppisites attract."
Abigail Winrow • Friend and battle buddy
Though these two have known each other for less time, Bed and Abi put aside their initial personal prejudice towards each other and came to rely on and trust each other without question. Not a fan of her erratic demo techniques, however.
Danjeet Anand Singh • Friend and battle buddy
Always having to ask for Danjeet's medical aid, Bed and him have spent many a night with bandages and painkillers, yet despite Danjeet's frustrations with Bed's leadership, they are tight.
Troren Runestedt • Childhood Friend
Bedwyr has not seen Troren for years since the aftermath of O.P.: Iron Rain. However, the memories of their youth give him the hope and will to have faith in his old Marshall and friend's return. Not before giving him a bollocking for ghosting his old platoon, however.
Trivia
- Bedwyr is inspired by the likeness of the dragon on the Welsh flag.
- He can breathe fire and cast it accordingly, though his magic education is rudimentary.
- When he is irritated, sparks and embers fly out his mouth and nose.
- Bad swimmer.
- A very unvaried diet of chicken and root veg.
- Has a bad habit of slapping people with his tail when he turns abruptly.
- His tongue is forked like his tail!
- While rugby is his first love, he enjoys hiking and artistic masonry. He uses his claws to carve into stone.
