Jonathan came into the world with a dysfunctional left leg, resulting in an amputation of said leg, which meant he could not serve compulsory millitary service. This slotted him to instead be a partial yet critical observer to life on the home front, and became obsessive with truth, often becoming deluded with heroic visage's of revolt and true democracy.

In his less politically driven youth, he was a technician trained to be an electrician, working behind the scenes on many broadcasting companies' inner workings. Much to his disdain was the tendency for these agencies to propel falsities about the countries infrastructure. This often resulted in his vocal disagreements with the anchors terminating his position on set and some minor jail time.

He earned his codename, "Jammy Jack Rabbit", due to his unpredictable tactics and unprecedented luck. He is highly anti-military and anti-neutrality.

At the end of his career as part of the Arganian Empire's asset, Jonathan broke his silence in response to a sudden surge of protests and riots within Glanmord due to the coming invasion of the Empire.

This made him a target. However, he continued to broadcast his signals of defiance until all the lines finally went dark after months of conflict.

Jonathan quickly became the voice of resistance among the groups within Argane, attempting to retake the country from their oppressors. Still, without the support of any other allied force at the time, there was no hope that the movement he helped promote and fuel would triumph. He retreated into exile at the expense of his beloved and livelihood, soon finding refuge at the Eyer.

History

Jonathan subscribed to many freedoms and ideologies that fall into taking back power by force if given no other means. But firstly, he was a father and a husband. He toned down his vendetta to put family first, securing a job in radio hosting, soon to have his show, "Ostek On Air," where his sarcastic humour and wit were popularised by some slightly embellished falsities sprinkled in to keep in favour with the executives. But most importantly, to form security for his family.

That all changed with the Arganian occupation of Glanmord and the state of Tondraria. The fall of the state was not quick or silent, Jonathan being one of its most vocal objectors and activists for the people. After the airways were shut, he took to public rallies. Johnathan was arrested when these became violent and a punishable offence under the new rule. During his captivity, he lost contact with his daughter, and his wife was killed in the event. Jonathan persists to this day, trying to reconnect with his now teenage daughter.

He would spiral and lose his drive after his carelessness cost him everything. It would be in the days when a filter of grey over his eyes would reignite with a vengeance after meeting Osakai. A former Arganian NCO turned traitor, as evidenced by his bloody brand, they teamed up to fight and pay their way out of the country to safer shores, aided by a friendly face- Elric, armed with his connections, would promise safe passage for them to what is now The Eyer.

Present

Jonathan spends his days fulfilling his new duties as the eye in the sky, the overseer of all in the Eyer. Ironically, a position he protested in his civilian days. He has lost much, which has twisted his optimistic look on the world; in his later life, he has resorted to extreme introversion. This usually fails due to Osakai and Elric's presence, routinely involving him in activities (that he protests initially) to remind him he can afford some fun despite everything.

He stays up late into the night and early hours as the honorary bouncer that many of the refugees at the Eyer depend on to feel safe from the war and prosecution. Despite this admirable position, Johnathan feels undeserving of praise.

Only when newcomers from the other side of the war join the ranks, does he have the will to fight for something more than an extra serving of breakfast.
