Amir ???'s Links
“am…. Son boy?” If there’s one thing Amir really hates, it’s having to hurt others. Marlin was no exception to this, and they had to deal with some rather.. unpleasant threats and some tears of frustration to force their powers out. And somehow, Marlin didn’t hate them for it. Amir hasn’t had much in terms of family as far as they can remember- but Marlin really is something of a father figure to them. At least it gives them someone to stick their plethora of created stickers onto!
SON BOY. Met during their shared tenure in that lab- when amir was instructed to blow marlins head off. Hates what the labs has done to this sweet kid, and the clear fear and struggle Amir has with his parasite. At the very least Marlin can be a stable force for the boy, and importantly- an indestructible one, as well.
One of our younger patients, and another subject in the parasite host projects. I honestly don't know where to begin with what I've seen this kid go through, and for all I know what I saw might just be the half of it. Amir has suffered a lot of trauma, most often mental and emotional, but not excluding physical unfortunately after witnessing them endure a knee to the gut. By the owner no less. I probably was not meant to see that but I doubt someone like him would really care if he caught me. The kid really deserves much better than this, though I do appreciate how they seem to get along with the test subject Marlin. He seems to provide a bit of a comforting presence despite the situation and tests they're sometimes put in together. Maybe when I'm able to find a way to actually try and help, they'll both find something better. I hope you'll be able to gain control over those powers without being used by others.
“I am so so sorry I had to blow you up D:”
“Ah, no it’s no problem, really! ….. say what now?”
“I- I don’t want to lose who I am, in all of this..” Due to the violative nature of Amir’s powers- that, and the fact that he often tends to struggle to bring out its more destructive side- a solution to that little problem was found through Kidd. After all, no need to deal with the dissonance if you puppet them directly. Despite their interactions being started in that particular unpleasantry, Amir is just excited to be around someone his age! Maybe, they can be pals! Their struggles with their parasites are rather similar, but judging by Kidd’s discomfort about it, Amir is smart enough to know not to push it.
"...I don't understand why you don't just give in."
Kidd has been called to use their abilities on a lot of people, its what they meant for after all. keep control- to guide the gears of destiny towards their end. So amir shouldn't be any different. But the other teen's constant struggle against their parasite- and the fact that despite what Kidd does, they still seem to... like, them? That's. weird. its confusing for Kidd, strums against their own parasite- a discomfort they haven't remembered in a long time. They shouldn't think about it. They shouldn't be friends.
Kind of his dad, although Amir didn’t gain his parasite willingly. Nor did the parasite bond to Amir by choice, but such is life in the labs. Finds him funny, still!
Jesus christ someone get this kid a blanket. No matter the circumstances, still a child, still his child.
