About

Obisidanfang was a poised, self-regarding and manipulative cat with traditional aspirations of success, motherhood and reverence. She was mate to Crowingheart and mother to Raveneye and Sootspot.

Preferring to keep to herself as well as having a dislike for most other clancats she would choose to keep her life to herself, even when it came to her family. She'd often be frank and straight to the point; finding conversations unconventional and a means for filling quiet time.

Building a legacy and having lived a life to be proud of was something she valued; although her disregard for others and self centered demeanour left those around her everything but admiring. On the other hand she carried herself with elegance, confidence and a diverse skillset which still conveyed respect and status.

Crowingheart

Despite Crowingheart's frightful demeanour he would never go out of his way to physically harm her, wether it was out of pity or respect she never knew. Unlike the rest of the cats where he'd get up in their faces, show phyiscal strength or verbally threathen them he left her to do her job as a mother and companion. She also selfishly enjoyed her own position of respect in the clan by being the mate of a leader; something which boosted her already high self worth even further.

She still held disgust and fear for his actions but would subconsiously supress it in favour of what she had to gain as well as his manipulative charm drawing her in. Her denial did make her distance herself from him, especially in regards to his quesntionable leadership decisions and their emotional connection.

After Ravenpaw ended his father's life she advocated for her firstborn son to continue the heritage of leadership after hearing other cat's approval of the young Ravenpaw's promising future. Despite her torn resentment for her mate she desired honor as a mother and a continued position of leadership in their bloodline and so convinced the others of letting him keep his leader status with close supervision and guidence by the deputy Coalclaw until he was of proper age.

For the first time since he was little she began to acknowledge him again, although it was purely in pursit of managment and she remained just as emotionally distant as ever. She now also had a reason to disapprove of him further regardless of wether she actually, truly mourned Crowingheart's death and Ravenpaw remained chasing the unreachable goal of acceptance from his mother.

Her sons

She and Crowingheart agreed to raise one kit each so not to get involved with each other's ways of doing; Obsidianfang especially was adamant on raising a litter or at least one kit herself; not wanting her precious child to be tainted by his immoral and poisonous heart. Whilst Crowingheart raised the older Ravenkit with a brutal paw she took care of Sootkit.

During Ravenkit's raising she had a kind and welcoming demeanour but she made sure not to develop too much attachment to her son for both of their sakes'. Though as soon as he could eat meat on his own she shut him out to let his father raise him; forever staying cold and unbothered by his presence in the clan as well as not desiring to see his growth in becoming Crowingheart's shadow. Sootkit on the other hand was her everything to her and she both coddled and also sheltered him from much of the outside world and even the rest of the clan.
