Character

Schoolhive Rockie from Schoolhive Rock said "knowledge is power!", and it's a lesson that Zylenx has carried close to his heart through to this very day. Education has always been his top priority, and also first defense against imperial enemies. He feels as though it's his duty to find and pass down information from times past that the government doesn't want people to know anymore, particularly that found within paper books, which are a rarity nowadays in the age of tech. It's his version of resistance against the Alternian Empire and also his contribution to the revolution, in his own little way.

Though Zylenx's hive is in perfectly fine condition, he actually spends much more time at the public bookhive than anywhere else; it's honestly his favorite place on the entire planet. He uses all of his free time to learn more about Alternia's history and research current revolutionary news and tactics. Zylenx is often there from opening until closing, and can't even begin to tell you the amount of Caegars he's saved from not having to buy expensive historical texts outright (most of which went right back into buying expensive books).

Abilities

HISTORY BUFF: Zylenx is well versed in the true stories of most common matters of history, but he's extraordinarily educated on the subject of the Empire's takeover of Alternia. Contrary to popular belief, life wasn't, in fact, 'always this way', and culture used to be far more varied than it is today. He's very willing to have a conversation with you on the topic, but every time he does people tend to get argumentative and upset when they've done no research, and he values his safety.

SPEEDREADER: Zylenx adores reading and will tear through books at an almost alarming pace. Anytime he gets invested in a particular topic, he starts devouring information about it at an almost unsustainable pace. He processes information absurdly quickly, and even difficult to read texts, like academic papers, simply seem to be like child's play to him. Give him a week and he'll get through a long shelf of books, a month and he'll get through the whole bookshelf. One has to stop and wonder if he actually manages to retain all of the information he's absorbing, or if he's just skimming...

• Has an actual, real, paper bookhive room in his hive. He's terrified of it burning down.
• Zylenx's clothes are made of a shockingly nice material. He won't tell anyone where he gets them made.
• Those are reading glasses, not prescription glasses. Do you think he's trying to get himself culled?
• Zylenx is usually found wearing no less than three layers in his entire outfit ensemble.

Ruzhet and Zylenx both have very different ideas towards how the matter of 'revolution' should be approached in regards to Alternian society, but they both agree that there is a deserate need for one to happen. At this point, it's just a matter of time...

Mahina Marnet [ High Tea Partner ]

Mahina is probably the only highblood that Zylenx regularly talks to without fear of getting culled. She always manages to put him at ease, lets him ramble, and also enjoys the hardback method of reading, so the two are natural complements of each other.
