About
It's not easy to see something that’s never been before: A good world.
Maeve is a young adult and is fresh out of academy for Paladins. She is adventuring and honing her skill to hopefully become a powerful figure that can help others. Helping others does not necessarily inspire her, however, killing evil beings does. She is a reserved person who hides her shyness behind careful, steely, neutrality and is quite intimidating. Maeve has an air of sadness and slight resentment around her as she still misses the idealized version of her long lost love. She almost looks absent when he travels, her eyes staring in the past, wishing that things played out differently. This is a fault of hers and she hopes that as she moves forward towards her duties, she will pull away from what once was. Beyond that, she is a devout and loyal companion to those who earn her trust and care. She will do anything for her friends and help them towards their causes without question... maybe a little bit of questioning. Maeve is weak when it comes to beautiful women and will absolutely be distracted.
Maeve is a quiet, bullish, type of woman. She ended up being a ward for House Ruxnor so she could train in combat and be raised up as a Paladin. This decision did not necessarily inspire her, as it was her father's promise to do so far before Maeve was born. He had just invisioned a son and not a daughter. With that, Maeve spent her teenage years training and traveling between castles. Her main occupation was to guard Lady Elisaria, which honestly, if you asked Maeve, was not hard at all. She would escort her between her many scholarly pursuits before they retreated to a glaive with a beautiful pool of water under large oaks. There they would confide in each other and fall in love. The two had a forbidden, secret, love that miraculously stayed hidden for quite some time. This ended when Lady Elisaria sent Maeve a letter explaining that she was to leave that evening to another kingdom to marry Lord Tremain; this letter was sent to Maeve while she was on a hunt. This led Maeve to hastily ride back to the castle, however, she was too late, as her favorite horse tripped over a root and broke it's leg. That day Maeve had to kill her horse since childhood and grieve the loss of a woman who she never had a chance to say goodbye to. Maeve's happiness was snuffed out that day and she became incredibly withdrawn. Since then, Maeve has fully committed to being a Paladin, and has closed her heart off.
Maeve was born into a formidable, noble house of Windermere. Their coat of arms show two unicorns passant on a field of blue, which is also adorned on Maeve's plate armor. The lands of Windermere are fertile with lush, golden crops that keep the Lordship rich and their people well fed. Windermere is known for their breeding of horses and have essentially have bred a unique type of Courser that is able to be an endurance horse that is also brave in battle. They are a prized breed among many knights and noblefolk alike. With this, Maeve has a strong affinity for horses and is incredibly privileged without her realizing how deeply fortunate she is. She is the eldest of three, having two younger sisters. Her best friend is Samael, the dragonkin, who has been with her since childhood.

Blessed Warrior. To serve as instrument of the Light is to hold an unshakable faith. Oftentimes the most dedicated paladins become fanatical in their devotion, instruments of retribution against those who dare defy the laws of the divine. These paladins are vengeful guardians of the weak—crusaders judging and punishing the wicked. Their resolute conviction in the divine order of all things assures them that victory is inevitable—but they will fight to the end to ensure that the Light prevails.

Weapon
Maeve has two weapons she switches between. Storm's Herald: a mighty, two-handed, warhammer and Dragonslayer: A powerful longsword.

A protective magical force surrounds you, manifesting as a spectral frost that covers you and your gear. You gain 5 temporary hit points for the duration.
