Hazelpaw
Hazelfire
Hazelstar is a small, tan she-cat with light yellow-gold eyes. She has many small scars, the most noticable ones on her face. Although she could not be described as having long fur, her tail is very fluffy. She has abnormally long claws, which started to show as an older apprentice.
Along her back, tail, and part of her face, she has a darker tan overcoat. Crisscrossing the darker fur are brown stripes, tinged slightly with red. This pattern continues up the right (our left) side of her face, going around an eye and all the way up to her ear. Despite rarely cleaning her fur, it always seems to be well kept. Nowadays, Hazelstar always seems to have a tired, anxious expression. If you ask her why, she'll quickly snap at you and turn away.

Hazelstar is an anxious she-cat who believes the best way to protect her clan is to shut all other clans out. Blaming many things on the cats outside of her home, she has grown to be very paranoid and overprotective. After Jaypaw left ShadowClan, she's constantly thinking about cats trying to undermine her or abandon ShadowClan. Thinking if she could stop her warriors from talking to the other clans, they wouldn't see anything good in them, she started ordering cats to never talk to a cat outside of ShadowClan.
Within her clan, Hazelstar is a kind yet closed off cat. She'll often overreact if something seems like a cat judging or being suspicious of her, but on calm days, the tan furred leader always enjoys leading a patrol to fill the fresh-kill pile.

- Name Meaning
- Hazel — When she was found in early autumn, her tan coat and shining eyes reminded her adoptive mothers of the golden hazelnuts found along the ground.
- fire — Her bright personality and determination at a younger age earned her this suffix.
- star — After gaining the role of leader, she switched her name to Hazelstar, as was customary.
- All but one of Hazelstar's apprentices have run away or been taken.
- She has many small scars along her legs and feet from multiple rat attacks as an apprentice.
Hazelstar absoloutely loves Fallenleap!! That's why she killed Bramblemuncher, and why she swore to kill Tigerstrike and Duskstar! Fallenleap would've totally wanted her to do that if she was still alive! Okay, so maybe Fallenleap wouldn't have wanted her to kill their son.. but Hazelstar had hardly killed him! She would do anything to get her mate back, no matter the cost! That's the point.. right?
Hazelstar and Fallenleap met when they were much younger, two apprentices soon to be made warriors. They became mates under the light of a almost-full moon. When Fallenleap became a medicine cat, it didn't effect their relationship and they stayed mates, although much more.. quietly. Seasons late, Fallenleap received the message that she would be dying soon, and Hazelstar - Hazelfire, at the time - was horrified. However, despite her promises, she was unable to save her beloved mate.
Hazelstar and Bramblemuncher's relationship was a rollercoaster of sorts. One of Fallenleap and her's few biological kids, they placed him in ThunderClan as a kit. It was more Fallenleap's decision, and Hazelstar was never truly sure why they decided to do it. But they did, and so Bramblemuncher lived in ThunderClan. Hazelstar never really knew Bramblemuncher. He grew up, as Hazelstar watched from a distance, unable to claim him as her kit. When he became a warrior, he was quickly manipulated by Tigerstrike, who convinced him to kill Fallenleap. At the time, he was unaware of who his parents were. And so, he conducted the task. With Fallenleap's dying breath, she told him who his parents were. Hazelfire quickly found out who her mates murderers were, and went after Bramblemuncher. She attacked him, in the battle that led to his death. Hazelstar still feels guilty, but tries to ignore it by pushing her desire for revenge above it.
Ravensight and Hazelstar met back when they were both younger warriors, and had a friendship, though their meetings were few and far between. However, after Hazelstar's rise to power, and her drastic shift in character and mindset, when the two met again, a fought broke out. Hazelstar angrily snapped and Ravensight, ending their friendship. However, with her dying breath, she asked for the witnesses to let Ravensight know that she was sorry.
