Atkins used to be a human but lost his mortal life when mixing himself up with a witch. He had been lost in the woods and sought out shelter. When entering a cabin he stumbled across, he was locked in and jumped by a malnourished, ancient looking woman, with clawed hands and milky eyes. She tore the flesh off his face
(this is why he wears a mask) and would have killed him if he hadn't been able to reach the iron pitchfork near the fireplace, stabbing it through her chest and setting her ablaze. Despite surviving the wound on his face he was cursed by the witch when she bit into his flesh. Preventing him from dying but also slowly driving him mad.

Random Facts

• Real name is Marshal Atkins, nicknamed ' DOG MAN' by people in his village. 
• Kills and eats humans who get lost in the woods (where he lives in a small cabin decorated with moss, mushrooms and other plants).
• Hears spirits whispering almost all the time and it annoys him highly, he is sometimes
  found in the forest kneeling while clutching his head making growling noises and /or yelling.
• Very fast and has super human strength, can rip things apart  with his bare hands, with little effort.
• Despises graveyards because the whispers are louder and more obnoxious for him.
• Skin is ill and diseased looking, feels leathery and cold. Smells like earth and soil though instead of rot. 
• He is toned even though he doesn't extra exercise or anything 
• Does not breath but he can make breathing noises if wants. He can speak but not much
