Natsume (HeiNatsu (Heizou/Natsume))

Heizou first heard of Natsume's appearance at the Grand Narukami Shrine from his cousin, Kano Nana. Intrigued by the rumors surrounding this mysterious Kannushi, Heizou decided that he wants to see them with his very own eyes. Duis placerat velit vitae massa sodales, eget mattis nibh pellentesque.

Heizou and Natsume's relationship is rather hard to define. At first, Heizou is only interested in uncovering Natsume's true identity, often dropping by the shrine just to interrogate them, using his charms to his advantage — waiting for them to slip and reveal their true nature. But Natsume isn't so easily tricked, so Heizou had to get creative with his ways. It took a while for Natsume to warm up to him, as Heizou clearly has an ulterior motive for trying to get close to them. But somewhere down the line, Natsume starts to see him less as a threat and more as a pleasant company, sometimes going out of their way to prepare a bento for him to take back to the police station (since Heizou doesn't like the food there). He makes Natsume feel less lonely. It's safe to say that the Kannushi has a soft spot for the detective, but the tension between them is still strong.

"Rumour has it that Kannushi Asase of the Grand Narukami Shrine could be the renowned Youkai companion of the long-lost Asase Clan. Naturally, I had to take matters into my own hands and uncover the truth for myself. Asase isn't the most cooperative person in the world, but after piecing together the clues — I've got myself a pretty sound argument. Now the only thing left to do is persuade them to confess and reap my benefits...I kid. Wait, you don't think I would blackmail them, do you?"

"Doushin Shikanoin visits too often. I'll admit his presence can be rather irritating, but he is a sharp-witted man, clever with his words. To tell the truth, I don't have anything personal against the detective. The higher-ups most likely sent him here to interrogate me. What? He came here on his own terms? Huh... well, if that's the case, I might need to think of a way to get rid of him..."
