Shadow Flitz [singular; Shadow Flit] are a species that have long since lost their hind legs, tail, and eyes to the power of the shadow and have replaced them with mold-able, wispy appendages. These large, friendly beasts have recently been tamed to be ridden. They have large, wide front paws, long pointed ears, and short, smooth fur. They can be naturally found in dark caves, wetlands, or thick forests. However, they've also been spotted in pastures while hunting. They are carnivores -- meaning they prey on creatures such as birds, deer, rodents, and bats.

Kiyo is a Fairy Light Trickster, a Shadow Flit that was blessed by a Kitsune and granted the power to watch over nightfall celebrations when daytime spirits have gone to sleep. His domain is anything that brings light to the dark, such as sparklers, fireworks, and especially sky lanterns. To Kiyo, sky lanterns represent the duality of their nature. A creature of Shadow that embraces the Light in the darkness. Flickers of hope that thrive in the night and set the sky ablaze with color and joy.
